I need a comparison with the classics figure.
I hope they turn this:
I love how everyone is mad about the scale and the partsforming instead of being happy we got a great Cliffjumper figure that isn\'t a Legends class, does a great job at portraying the character, has pretty good accessories, and has one part of partsforming that actually benefits the look of the figure and doesn\'t make the figure anymore cumbersome than it needs to be. \"ItS hIs EnTiRe TrUnK!\" The kids this toy is made specifically for aren\'t going to really give a crap about it. Stop complaining and be glad we even got this figure in the first place.
I like how people get triggered over the purchasing criteria of other people.
I have an idea for an insecticon combiner named Pestilon.
Skrapnel forms the torso and head
Kickback forms the right arm
Bombshell forms the right leg
Chop Shop forms the left arm
Barrage forms the left leg
INSECTICONS! COMBINE INTO PESTILON!
It would take no effort for Hasbro to alter the car shell into a Volkswagen.
the purchasing criteria clearly informs design decisions and there have been numerous toys in the last 6 years that would be immensely improved by a little partsforming. Specifically every single Combiner.
That's nice. What does this have to do with the current discussion?
I can't believe I'm saying this, but... I'm actually sort of okay with partsforming. I guess it sort of feels like the backpack is an accessory so it's okay if it can come off. Still, this is an extremely slippery slope.
This is so off topic it hurts but I've actually thought about this before. The 3 original insecticons become the torso and the deluxe insecticons become the limbs. This way you still have a separation between the groups and the originals remain smaller while still being the torso.
Looks pretty great to me. Scales well with the line and you get a lot of transformation in that little bugger. Definitely see the MP Bee 1.0 influence on the design of this guy and he's all the better for it.
It would work especially well if they remolded the front window to be able to turn to face forward (think siege ironhide's angled 180 twist in the torso)
Not enough to lose your sh!t over at people you've never met.
I mean, I still think he looks great overall but the disappointment over the partsforming seems like a valid criticism.
That's pretty weak figure design.
huh durr partforming , reeeeeee

Looks beautiful, robot and alt mode, accessories are very nice, definitely don't like the parts forming, is just a too little figure to have it, I see it as lazy engineering, Newage probe that small figures could be done with very well cartoon accuracy without having removable extra parts, FansToys found a way to compress an entire truck container into an small backpack so no excuse in the 21st century. Again, no complains at all with final result in robot and alt modes, looks awesome.
Isn’t parts forming on a legends figure cheating?
Car mode looks more like windcharger, cliffjumper is a penny racer.
Positives is that beautiful head sculpt.
I just noticed something. The partsforming in the back window of the car mode. Notice it has like... a trio of 5mm pegs.
You could use it as a shield.
