Agree. This is a huge disaster. The one character that is the face of Transformers and is being diminished.

People are honestly jumping to conclusions. Gotta wait until retail package is in the channel. Having said that, I think it’s an excellent attempt at a definitive new Optimus. It only took them over a decade, or 30 if you discount the classics figure.

 

After seeing this OP I can barely look at my Siege OP. The arm kibble and near inch thick backpack were tolerable when there were no alternatives, but are just nasty now.

 

Personally I hope Prime has yellow hands & grey eyes.  

And seriously? If you don’t like Prime, you’ve every right to complain. Nobody’s saying don’t do that. But there’s a difference between ‘I prefer the hands are blue, so I’m skipping it & voting with my wallet’ & ‘This is a travesty! Hasblo suxx! John Warden is lame! It’s a disaster!’ One is how adults speak, the other just makes you look unhinged.

Oh and I do find it funny how some people on here are missing Takara’s deco yet simultaneously expecting Hasbro’s to come with way more paint apps at a much lower price point. Yes you would have got the deco you wanted, but it would have cost you $30 more. To some that’s fine (I’d be happy with that frankly), I have no doubt if Hasbro could sell a version of him for $80 to us they would but unfortunately they’re hamstrung by budgets & price points. It’s not like theres a conspiracy to purposely screw G1/Optimus fans.

 

Rather than the hands, my OCD kicks in more due to the fact that the weapon port on his thigh (the middle one) is not evenly split into two... I know the reason, it's just...well...you know...OCD things.

Remember when Classics ‘06 Prime had black hands? Hell, even Henkei Prime had black hands with just a bit of blue paint.

Which I was fine with. I be fine if it were a dark gray or even black. To me that light gray, I don't care for it so I'll wait a review or 2.

 

We could call it 'The Great Hand Job' if we had to.

 

Personally i would go with the "Blue Hand Shortage."
