If you went by G1 sizes, updated Ultra Magnus would be a deluxe with add-ons to make the armored mode, he would be a voyager by the time you put on the armor.

Even ignoring the myriad of QC issues of Blitzwing, I'm even less interested in Doubledealer. The face doesn't looks as good, and I at least liked Blitz's colors. But this has no-

... fuck, a sharkmouth deco? Sold.

That's assuming the shoulders are fixed. Given how the nosecone is desperately straining to escape, doesn't look like that's improved any. But dammit... might have to pick this up.

 

I was never into Beastformers.... but Rhinox sold me. Wow, did they do an awesome job modernizing the crap out of him. Really nice looking.

Doubeldealer is a maybe. I love the character, but there is no powermaster gimmick, and I doubt they kept the head switch gimmick. From the looks of it, the head mold is completely different, so besides the triple-changing gimmick, there isn't much else to 'wow' me on this one. The colors look good, very nice nod to the G1 toy, but I did not expect the Blitzwing mold to be used again.

It does seem the Thrilling 30 are about half repaints. For some figures, it could be a good thing, for others, maybe not so much. Depends on character.

 

I will definitely get a Rhinox. It will be my first Beast Wars figure. I wouldn't mind more voyager Beast Wars figures in the future. I would buy a Optimus Primal. As for Doubledealer I have no interest. It's too much like Blitzwing for me.

Damn, Hasbro nailed the headsculpt on double dealer. May have to find a cheap Cybertron Red Alert (the big one) and kitbash a more G1 Doubledealer.

I hope Whirl is an Osprey-looking thing like his older IDW design but I wouldn't mind a regular helicopter.

 

I want Rhinox and DoubleDealer but DoubleDealer's shoulders look swapped.

 

Now i want Rhinox to show up in IDW just from the good looks of that fig.... and i dont even like animal formers.

I think Skids looks great. Same with Waspinator and Rinox. I love how they're making some updated Beast Wars toys. I think I might get Doubledealer instead of Blitzwing.
