love rhinox but will we have the same issues of the shoulders on doubledealer as we did on blitzwing

 

Well, I have mixed feelings about these.

Swerve looks amazing, and I love the use of micro masters but I feel like cosmos was a wasted spot. Really looking forward to seeing Tailgate & Shapshot.

Goldfire looks less then what I had hoped he would, but at he same kind I kinda like it. Dreadwing is cool looking, and I'm 50/50 on Skids. I like the head sculpt but something about the bot mode I'm not too sure about. I don't like his vehicle mode, but I would bet I need to see it from a few different angles and without the gun on the side.


Uuugh... Beast Wars. I hate hate hate to say it but I actually like that Waspinator. I don't care if you're TRUK NOT MONKY like me, but that Rhinox is the tits! Easy pick up for me. While I was hoping to see Flywheels out of Blitzwing, Doubledealer is a great choice out of a great mold.

I already can't wait for SDCC to see what else is in store!

I remember back in 08, Toy Fare interviewed Bill Rawley and they discussed the Classics/Universe 2.0 line. Back then he mentioned wanting to make a new Soundwave(but was having difficulty finding an alt mode), and a new Rhinox.

We got a CHUG Soundwave last year(the FOC one doesn't look too out of place with modern CHUGs), and now we will be getting Rhinox. I wonder if this was a figure he designed a few years back but is only now getting released due to the 30th anniversary line? Anyways it looks great. While the Kenner version from the 90's was cool and featured a cartoony sculpt, this one looks excellent. I hope we see more Generations voyagers that are Beast Wars characters.

Doubledealer sounded more exciting on paper than it looks in the pics. I was hoping for more than just a new head. Sandstorm raised the bar for retooled Transformers.

Rhinox's beautiful head sculpt made me double take. And his chainguns! HNNNNG.

 

IMO, Tigatron needs his own mold. Though this isn't MP, so I'd settle for a remold.

 

Yup, they announced a new deluxe Starscream based on the Armada figure - which is one of the best Screams around.

 

I need all of those, Especially Rhinox, Waspinator, Skids and Swerve.

And yay for more obscure Transformers like Flanker!

 

Anybody think they'll try to remold Rhinox into Transmetal Rhinox? They've got to be planning to re-use that mold somehow.

 

I look forward to Rhinox & Waspinator.

Anybody else notice that the names for both Swerve's and Cosmos's targetmaster partners are different on the cards in the display? I'm a little curious as to which names will be on the packaging, though it ultimately doesn't matter, as I'm not going to be buying these for the targetmasters.

Any predictions for who they'll be repainting Skids into? I kinda want the mold, but will definitely be passing on Skids. Something about that face creeps me out just a bit...

The more I look at Rhinox, the more I kinda want him. That said I'm not a big fan of Beast Wars, or his character. Not sure who/what they could do for his repaint/retool that would interest me, but I'm curious to see what they'll do with the mold.

That said I am interested in Waspinator. I find his character interesting, and even though I'm not a big fan of Beast Wars...a cool looking Deluxe beastie is easier to talk myself into buying than a Voyager...lol

Doubledealer is still a must-have. There's something about that deco I really like, even with the shark mouth on the nosecone, which looks cool, but urks me seeing it on anything other than a Thunderbolt-II...

 

Rhinox looks fantastic hopefully he comes out this time they mentioned him but never showed him a couple of years ago.

Hopefully they might fix te problems with Blitzwing mold and he will be worth getting.

 

Goldfire/Goldbug was the ONLY thing interesting out of all those pictures... Might actually get the mold now (was going to pass on Bumblebee). Everything else looked mediocre at best. HATE that there are already Beast Wars crap coming out in Generations when so many G1 and G2 figures have yet to be "modernized" (would LOVE a new take on Skylynx, Trypticon, other Dinobots, etc)... Once Beast Wars starts clogging the pegs again, I will be able to take another break from TF for a few years.

 

The jetmode of Doubledealer sure look like Classic Jetfire.

 

They said they WANTED to make him back then, it just took this long for that dream to happen. I can't imagine this not making it to retail.

 

For a guy with that many guns he had better have an unnerving face.
