On the plus side he has a massive kibble wheel backpack, Chonk feet, second release of the mold and he’s a mid Optimus at best so there is no rush to obtain him. I’d rather be first to the SS ROTB Optimus. Don’t get me wrong he has the Best G1 head sculpt EVER… the head and trailer will most likely end up on my earthrise anyway… maybe… I’m still rocking Santa primes Green light piping with Selects Galvatrons Green matrix and Loving it. Maybe I’ll just leave him as is.

I mean, I have the Scourge, so I know the mold is okay, but do I need the default colors of him?

It is not that strange that a toy is exclusive in the US, online or store exclusive, and is sold in retail in other countries. Every country has its own distribution.

 

You don't "need" them if you just want the mold. I skipped him too waiting for the inevitable Scourge and was not disappointed.

 

If you’re on the fence about it this long after both figures have been released then, to me, it seems you really wouldn’t miss it. Well if you want a Laser Prime but not the Legacy mold why not try getting this: Transformers United UN-22 Laser Optimus Prime

As it is, different countries generally have separate distribution and retail plans. Likewise, an exclusive in one country may not necessarily be an exclusive anywhere else. Gundam kits have actually started doing that as of a few years ago for some kits.

Same. Holiday Prime was one of the figures of the year for me. No struggles with transformation, no QC issues, great mold! Quality play value.
But Holiday Prime is a Christmas decoration in my house. The chance to get one for the desk (eventually to move to the G1ized Prime shelf as TFP Optimus) is perfection.

 

Hopefully he will go up next month for a November release. I need some Christmas fun

 

Like this Holiday and VNR Optimus Prime where the transformation is different from the conventional OP that we have in market. Both are solids and what I like the most is their head scuplt and planing to transplant them to ER OP
