Yeah, that's why NF Optimus, (my precious) gets this one. A little darker and cooler. Looks snazzy.

That's my plan. Until they release a real Prime Optimus or at least a designed to be G1ized Prime Optimus.
Again, deco and usage debates aside, this is one of the most fun Optimus molds ever. Maybe one of the best transformer molds ever. It just works so smoothly.


We really need this in plain white as a UM or Nova Prime.

I’d say he works okay as a Prime Optimus Prime stand in yeah. Not exact obviously but good enough to stand in.

 

I get what they were going for, but the red truck means there's entirely too much red on the robot mode

Would've preferred the truck to be white or any color that would complement the red and blue

 

Is that real? What is that deco called? Medicated Shampoo Optimus Prime?

People who want the mold in traditional Prime colors.

 

That's 100% understandable. I have a feeling once I buy the house and unpack my collection into my "showroom/man cave", that I'll likely have the same reaction since I have the same SKUs.

That said, I guess consumers like you and I aren't the target market for the release. Rather, they're aiming at consumers who don't worry about that or consumers who missed the previous releases and don't want to pay the "late tax" today.

 

I dunno. I think this is pretty baller if you want a more \"modern\" take on Prime. I already have the holiday version, so this is a pass for me. But the transformation is pretty fun. Personally, a Prime without a trailer is sacrilege. But I can understand if some don\'t care about it. The only complaint I have is that the trailer is too short. 

 

It's for fans that aren't stuck in the 80s and want updated vehicle modes for these characters. This is a perfect modern alt mode for Prime since Volvo VNRs are very prevalent these days.

Personally, this is the deco I've been wanting for this figure since Holiday Prime was announced.
