What we need is Doubledealer as Machine Wars Soundwave, so we can shove another cassette minion into his chest and Stalker so we can shove a hypothetical Glit in his chest. They both served at Grindcore in IDW comics so there’s a connection.

 

Personally I think that buzzsaw and a ravage repaint will come packed with a netflix wave 2 soundwave

It would be another cool way to keep giving us SW's cassettes through ER. Now my question is, will it be possible to have those combining cassettes in some way?

I'd buy two of that, no hesitation. Need more cassette kitties.

I can only hope, although if we are still limited to two voyagers for wave 2 and one is Optimus, I would like Bitstream to be the other Voyager.... for Hotlink....

 

But then thats still only 2 of the 3 (or 4 if you want to count nacelle) welcoming committee members, plus with wave 1 already having a seeker I think the netflix line would benefit from mold variety (though I would like both bitstream and sunstorm)

 

Sunstorm is in a weird spot with me when it comes to the welcoming committee, since he has so much more of a personality and exposure compared to the others that I can justify him being a different mold than the others. Nacelle is another weird one since I prefer the red and blue colored version more than the black/deep navy blue one.

Mold variety is an excellent point though. I can't argue that. In the end, I just want more Siege seekers. I never thought I'd be army building them, yet I have about 5 ready to custom on the side of all the full releases to date, just in case, lol.

 

I know what you mean about wanting more seekers, I've gotten all the siege ones (though I swapped for ER starscream and will be doing the same for thundercracker and skywarp), I never thought I'd be much into troop building but it's pretty enjoyable

 

Initially I didn’t even like the Siege Seeker but in-hand (the start of Bumblebee also sold me on the idea of a Seeker armada) and now like you I’m customizing them. The “shell forming” actually helps the customizing angle as you can literally paint the shell and robot separately.

 

Don't have spare engine type parts just laying around. Closest was a LEGO engine block, which is not truly 5mm peg compatible. However, the tape peg is more rectangular shaped and makes a snug friction fit.

 

I think Buzzsaw and Stripes (or Catgut, whatever) are reasonably likely as Wal-mart Voyager pack-ins. I think there's a non-trivial chance they're either partnered with Bitstream or Optimus, though. Megatron got "prisoners" and Hotlink got new Targetmasters who had never existed before this year. I don't think it's necessary that the Deployers come with Soundwave, but I think it'd be smart of Hasbro to use the last gasp of Siege (WM line) to finish off the main G1 'Con Deployers, then maybe we can move on to Autobot Deployers (and Blaster) in WFC3 (and that'd give opportunities to mix in older molds with new ones for Glit, Howlback, etc).

As a side note, I think Soundwave (either premium deco a la Megatron or something fun like a Marvel Comics deco), Optimus (with green windshield), and Bitstream (not Sunstorm - he's sufficiently well known that he can be in a battle pack or exclusive on his own later) are the three main options of which we'll get (presumably?) two. While I'm inclined to think it'll be OP and Bitstream, it's hard to say which of the three will be omitted (a second Megatron seems wildly unlikely, Springer/Deadlock is possible but not supported by the trailer, can't see them using OP or SW molds for anyone besides themselves, can't see them doing a Seeker who isn't connected to Hotlink). I do hope for Buzzsaw/Stripes as one pair of partners and color-matched Pteraxadon and Smashdown as the other

Or you can just repaint it into Machine Wars Soundwave, who was a repaint pf Stalker, and is the original Cassette bearer.

 

Repainting Dealer into MW Soundwave would be more work than some are willing to do.

 

No, maybe back in TR but now most figures rely on pins...... could you imagine opening up a WFC figure?!
