Looks interesting for the odd figure. But the scale is too big for my liking. Maybe some undersize ko's would do the trick. Ahh long shot, no i guess.

    The megatron looks real good.

While I would consider actual murder to obtain a modern Getaway, I feel the target audience of these figures would wonder "Who" to every last one of those.

This line, based on what we've heard tell, is SPECIFICALLY to keep the core characters in circulation, which likely frees up Generations to do some more obscure characters (which honestly, most combiner wars characters already are)

the irony of this post is that "Go-Bots" had a recent high end toy line under the Gokin banner that is the anniversary Machine Robo anime figures that were on par with Masterpiece TF's :lol

I hope these are at least better than the NuRiD stuff. Megatron looks pretty good, as does Optimus. Bumbebee even looks half-decent.
If they have articulation in their shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, I'm sold. Also, as was stated earlier, the potential for kitbash fodder is promising.

Bumblebee looks awkward. If Optimus has decent articulation I'll get him as a stand-in for RID Optimus.

They look like G1 versions of RID '15 figures to me. sigh. Well if this is what they have to do to give us Combiner Wars then I support it I guess.

Is this a G1 line, though?

Seems more like another brand synergy line. BB's got a movie alt mode, RID transformation, and G1 head.

    Dear Hasbro-

The reason why Transformers are not flying off of the shelves is not because the toys don't reach an younger audience or are too hard to transform...it because they are too damn expensive!

    $15-$16 per deluxe?
    $10 for legend size figures????

Transformers doesn't need a new sub-line...the Hasbro needs a new price drop!

    -Consumers

If it is really an issue that there is no way to produce these toys at a reasonable price then that really signals an era that is truly leaving us. Parents are not going to buy expensive plastic junk when they can get their kids in to art, music, photography, making and building stuff with technology, because it is all more accessible. You get a kid a touch pad and load it up with really neat apps.

Seriously, how is a small $15 plastic figure going to compete against 5 or 10 awesome apps (for the same price) on a pad?

Sorry to turn this new figure discovery into a talk about the cost of figures but isn't it obvious that Hasbro is feeling the need to deal with sales drops.

Now the collectible generations toys need to be simplified in hopes to get a wider audience? No! Distribution of figures needs to be equal and stores need to put that shit out on the floor instead of hiding it all in the back. I still have not seen a Gen Arcee in a store. And prices!!!!

They are trying everything now. It's "Dart Board Economics".

These new ideas are not remedies for the cold hard math:

    1. Poor distribution
    2. Rise in figure prices
    3. Hi tech items make for better stuff out their for kids

Surprised to find out about a Generations line for younger fans. Maybe they want to make another bridge of the younger and older fans? Either way that would explain the Voyager Starscream prototype at the exibit a while back.

Megatron looks cool. He looks G2 inspired. Wonder how he'll look next to Classics Optimus Prime? Grimlock too looks neat. He's a fusion of G1,AOE and RID15 all right. Bee's a pass for me.

Optimus look pretty awkward in the pics though I've learned that sometimes pictures can make a toy look worse then it really is.

Hahaha I find that funny that one of the first responses to this was

    "Another Megatron kinda redundant?"

like okay but another Bumblebee who looks A LOT like his RID2015 Legion isn't?

They're actually a step up from the Titans. As long as these replace those (not likely), I say we're moving forward.

But whoever said this was about TM retention is probably right. Hasbro is pretty anal about keeping those stupid TMs. Just slap "Autobot" on everything and call it a day already. Maybe I'm just not informed, but I fail to see the specific problems Hasbro has had with TM infringement - the paranoia has to come from somewhere, no? :redface2:

How can these be 7 inches? They look as detailed as a 3,5 inch figure should be.
