So I heard a user, (forget their name) mention that at botcon 2014 Hasbro mentioned they were making combiners for the generations line. Can anyone confirm if this is true? and also, if it is true, which ones would you want?
Here's what happened. At the Botcon 2014 Hasbro panel, the designers said that they couldn't tell the fans what the 2015 theme for Generations was, but could show a silhouette. It looked suspiciously like Superion.
This... Never once did anyone from Hasbro say that combiners are confirmed for next year. However, they did strong hint at it
Agreed. On a related note to FoC Bruticus and RotDS - now that the game is released and they have revealed 3 of the 5 Stunticons, this FoC/WfC fan hopes Has/Tak makes them (as well as many of the previously released characters that were not made into figures).
They did, but it's an Optimus repaint. They did give us two Soundwaves, so it's possible to get a proper release... But the game is done and out of the spotlight.. I don't expect it.
I think I'm going to add a poll to this thread with Menasor, Devastator, Bruticus, Computron, Predaking, Defensor, Abominus, and Superion as options.
Technically we've already got WFC Menasor to go with WFC/FOC Breakdown, Dead End, and Dragstrip. All we need is a design for Wildrider. Also, there's like three of these threads now including mine. Just sayin.
Your opinion, sir. FoC Bruticus definitely counts as a combiner that Hasbro put out. And if it wasn't that great, why do it and it's repaint Ruination command such high prices on the secondary markets? Gotta give Hasbro/Tomy kudos on designing a self-contained, non-parts-forming combiner. This is likely the approach they will take next year. Although, let's hope that the leader/torso-bots are voyagers (unless they do Devastator) and the engineering is better. I didn't think FoC Bruticus was a bad toy, and it seemed to me to be a first step in the right direction. Combiners are, lest we all forget, very tough to engineer. Me, I'd like to see Stunticons and Protectobots the most. Those guys have gotten no love from Hasbro/Tomy and the third party sets are way overpriced.
Sorry? It's probably good that there are multiple threads, maybe Hasbro will get the idea we want to see this happen.
