Like mixing milk and orange juice.
Oh no, not this
As if there was not enough stupidity in the franchise.
The end is nigh, let us pray.
This actually reminds me of my childhood lol The neighbor's cousin (I had the biggest crush on her, she was a few years older) used to come by now and then and she would play with her My Little Ponies and I had my Transformers. We'd have our own crossover adventures. While I won't pick this up it brings back pleasant memories.
Sure, but I don't think such a toy would be... stable.
God forbid they have fun with the talking toy car robot franchise.
While I haven't read them myself and they could be good, I have heard fans complain that the Transformers and G.I Joe crossover comics aren't that great. Which is weird, because that seems to me like they'd fit like pb and j.
In the grim dark future of robots, there is only ponies.
I think this Crossover was already, Fun
Well. Here is the art that I ordered on this subject.
No one is saying it's guaranteed to be good. Certainly not me. But to imply something harmless like this shouldn't even be attempted is quite closed minded.
Its not close minded at all. Some things just don't mesh well. Again as toys meeting other toys that's fine and it would work. But as two fictional franchises with an equally long history it would not work well. There's a reason you don't see Baskin Robbins drizzling mustard on ice cream, or Nintendo having a foul mouthed, ass grabbing Mario curb stomping goombas with blood and gore spraying everywhere.
@TheWug83 Aww that's a sweet memory.
The next logical crossover would be TF/Care Bears. Megatron and the decepticons find the planet of the Care Bears and set out to rid the universe of them. This crossover would have to be M rated for sure. No amount of Care Bear stares are going to save them.
I feel like this sums up IDW's business logic when dealing with Hasbro IP and crossovers.
i hope they get figures, and that twilight isnt a repaint of optimus, it would look wrong in so many regards
Carebears xover would be cool!!
But really, this MLP one is 5 years too late. Hasbro is rebooting MLP within in a year. maybe one last hurrah? :|
But that isn't happening here. Transformers is a you centric property and so is MLP. They're both equally ridiculous properties not meant to be taken seriously. It might no work well in your opinion but that's really all it is. Who knows? Might be a fun read.
Well, if anyone's an authority on garbage that only exists for shock value it's a 6ix9ine fan
Smells like salt in here, lol. I'm not gonna buy it, but I'm sure IDW wouldn't release something if there wasn't a market for it.
A You-centric property?
Transformers mostly don't do well with fantasy. I personally love Sea Change, but eps like a Decepticon in King Arthur's Court, the obligatory Atlantis ep and the weird singing power elf ep weren't very good or well-regarded.
