I read that it closed on September 10th, figured I'd have time. Turns out it closed at midnight (Eastern), or three hours ago. Le Sigh. I wonder if anyone else is in my boat of procrastinating because I only wanted a few of them.

That's part of the reason why I only skim their E-Mails. I know I'll be spammed with more copies.

 

Technically, midnight is 12 am of the date in question. So they closed at the correct time; midnight on the 10th is the first possible moment of that day.

But I feel for you. "Midnight" is a terrible time to use for any event since there's so much confusion about what it means. They should have used more exact wording or -- and this would have been better -- "noon" on the 10th. There's never any confusion around what noon means.

 

I just got an e-mail from the club saying this ends today. I guess everyone is confused by midnight.

I can’t fault them. They sent like fifteen E-Mails regarding it, the same information in virtually each one. I believe they sent out a solitary correction E-Mail at one point. But midnight was a poor choice, one that seems to have even confused them. I was able to get my order in after they re-opened it. But honestly, when someone says I have until sometime on a date, my assumption is that I actually have some time on that date.

 

Eh, none of the figures were that amazing anyway. I was going to sign up but then realized I really don't care.
