I hope so, that'd add something extra special to the game IMO.

Wow What a Trailer! I Can't Wait to play this Game! :D

I Wish they would make a Show like this
I Felt more care and Companionship, and Desperation in this 1:49 Sec Trailer
than the Whole 1 Season of TF Prime ,If Only TF Prime could have even touch
a Sliver of the Epicness, and Characterization that these Games Had *Sighs* ....Oh well
At least I Have The Games And The Movies! :D

I don't hate the song, but I do think it would have been better to have chosen music rather than a song. Why? Well, songs don't age too well—they're pretty good at capturing an era, which is what often makes them feel dated in just a few years. Lyrics aren't the only things that can tell a story, instruments can do a good job of this too. Orchestra would have been so much better, it’s timeless.

indestructible (by DISTURBED) might've worked for it if it were a faster paced video

Yeah, but I think everyone may be a bit burned out on orchestra (I am). It's such a typical go-to for an 'epic' feeling; I appreciate that HM went with a more atypical song choice.

I actually liked the song, and I don't typically like that style of music.

if you listen to the whole song and think about it for a few seconds, you'd understand why they chose it. they weren't really going for a loud, "Michael Bay" type of video with explosions and shit. it seemed more like a general summary of whats been goin on. like the decepticons have pretty much won the war for cybertron, now its the FALLof cybertron and the autobots gotta leave. IMO the song was to set a mood for the autobots and how they lost everything etc.

If everyone were burned out with orchestra Hollywood would have done away with it long ago. I wouldn't say it the typical go-to track either, as trailers often use hit pop/rock tracks to get your blood pumping. To each his/her own I guess.

You got the touch will always hold a special place in my heart, but I never want to hear it in the Transformers again. It hasn't aged well:(  Star Wars, Superman, Star Trek (the new instrumentals, anyway:p ) still sound relevant years after we first heard them. I generally like hearing music that doesn’t lock itself to time in movies in shows unless it’s necessary. However, this is just a trailer, and I’m sure this is the last we’ll hear of this song, so I really doesn’t matter I guess.

I think this song will age quite well, simply because its lyrics seem quite similar to poetry that people of different generations can understand. William Shakespears Sonnets are studied and remembered in many schools. The poem of Invictus still inspires people.

The same goes for prayers such as the 'Lord is my Shepherd'.

The song also is quite simple. There are different songs that go in and out of style but a basic song lasts for ages. But many of the most basic songs, I think can be passed down throughout the generations. For example, there are childrens songs, folk songs.

For some reason this song feels like it has some mystique in it.

You know what else feels dated in just a few years? These games. CG ages incredibly quickly, and what looks new and hyper-realistic today looks clunky and fake in a very short time. So the song doesn't really NEED to do anything more than capture an era.

This isn't a movie that people are going to revisit for generations. It's a game that people are going to play for 3-5 years and then put behind them for the next, newer, better-looking update/sequel.

I thought it was a great choice.
I teach high school music and have a masters degree.
I am constantly having to select music for different and separate occaisions. I believe they wanted to put a different spin on this by showing the emotional side of war yet still keeping the violence and explosions in the background. it's kind of a "win win" when you think of it, you get the emotional aspect to it, you get your explosions and violence, and you get Grimlock's awesome transformation scene.
Also, listen to the lyrics of the song, it tells the story of what the Autobots are facing, trying to cross a river of their dying planet into the hopes of sanctuary somewhere free of tyranny.

I'm a touring musician and sound engineer of 20+ years in the metal industry and I think the music chosen for this trailer is perfect.
