My guess is the story will go along the lines of this:

After the destruction of Trypticon, Megatron needed a new power house, so he ordered Shockwave to construct new war machines.

They took some captured Autobot soldiers, used Trypticon's schematics, and some good old Shockwave influence, and made Grimlock.

Just a guess, but it's the best guess I have.

I like a lot of what you are saying...except there is NO WAY IN HELL that any TF game should ever be in first person. Then it IS juts like COD and others. You NEED to be able to watch your TF transform to get the full experience out of the game. Watching others around you transform is not good enough. Just because you love FPS's, doesn't mean all shooters should be FPS's....TF's most definitely should not.

Everything about this looks awesome so far. Can't wait. Hopefully they fix some of the technical flaws from the first one.

I got a bad feeling like dotm you can't choose your character for missions. Correct me if I'm wrong but that sounds like the same tag line, they cut character selection in dotm because the levels were made around the characters abilities.

WFC was like this, too. You could only use the Seekers for flying missions and the same was true for the Autobots—Even Warpath was limited to just on stage. DotM was done by a different team, so I don't know how much of that game will transfer to this—hopefully only what worked. There was no co-op play in DotM, and I don't think FoC is going to do away with that. Co-op play will need multiple characters to choose from;)

I really, really hope they recast a few of the voices. Especially on the 'Con's side.

Megatron's was so bland, and Starcream's was just out and out awful.

In my opinion that was one of the few things they got right in that game. I hope they do have character-focused levels in FOC.

NEVER. The voice acting was godly, amazing, and hilarious, and one of the most enjoyable parts of the game! Everything Megatron and Starscream say is legendary, such as "BREAKDOWN, YOU FOOOOOL!"

Which when you consider Mirage and Soundwave's missions, I have no problem with.

I will gladly give up character selection if it means having a more interesting and diverse levels and gameplay. Having a fun campaign is better than playing as a certain name to me.

Fred Tatasciore's Megatron is rage, anger, and hate given a voice, while still being able to sound persuasive. It fits this version of the character well.

And Sam Riegel as Starcream is great, don't be hating.

My only hope is that this game comes with the one thing we all want:

HOST MIGRATION. Seriously, High Moon would make a mint by just slapping a sticker on the final cover of the game that says "Yes, this game has host migration! HUZZAH!"

    But that's just me.

I thought his Megatron was really bland. The guy is a pretty good voice actor, so I don't know whose fault that was.

It was just... generic... deep voice type... thing. I mean, if they're trying to make it as Nostalgia-y as possible, you'd think they'd cast Frank Welker. Or even throw the fans of the newer series a bone and go for David Kaye or Corey Burton. They'd both be good. Better than what they picked for the first.

And Starscream was just awful. I cringed every time he talked, and I'm not exaggerating. They got Charlie Adler and Steve Blum for the second and third Bayformer games, what's stopping them from getting one of them for WFC2?

You'd think they'd go for an "all star cast" in terms of Voice Actors. They can't be that much more costly than anyone else, and people would probably dig it much, much more to hear familiar voices for the various characters.
