Very much intrigued by what we're seeing here so far.

 

The animation quality is miles better than any show we've gotten in the past recent years. The voice acting also seems to be pretty good. The only gripe I have so far is that Prime's head design is pretty ugly. The rest of the designs are fairly good though. Honestly, I'm looking forward to seeing more so far.

yeah, I do like some of the designs here but these and many of the other past few TF shows have essentially just been stylized G1. Animated was heavily stylized but it also incorporates original design elements and reoccurring motifs that gave a cohesiveness to its style. That’s what makes Animated designs feel so fresh and long lasting compared to stuff like this or Cyberverse.

it’s no surprise that the most interesting designs so far are the new characters who are free to be as unique as they want.

 

I went from not at all interested to quite interested pretty fast with this trailer. It seems like it’s exploring the themes of transformers animated but taking them in a somewhat different direction. Definitely going into more detail. I’m not a huge fan of the designs but I don’t have to buy the toys to enjoy the show

 

I am very intrigued. A post-war cartoon, kinda like Animated? Where Megatron somehow survived (or got brought back ala ROTF), and Transformers are a known entity on the planet? Some of the animation still weirds me out, I still think the kids have way too big eyes and some of the faces are off, but the voice acting is pretty good with a notable cast, and the characters are very recognizable. I really want to see how this turns out.

Also, I like some of the new alt modes. Glad to see a modern Megatron who doesn't just turn into a tank, a twin-rotor helicopter has been done before, but it was long enough ago and different enough that I'm satisfied.

 

Alan Tudyk vs the Hound

Well goddamn my interest just went up significantly. Still a little iffy on some parts, but need to see a lot more to get a full opinion.

My biggest concern and fear is still Paramount Plus because they are a goddamn dumpster fire.

Definitely more intrigued now, but still not subbing

 

Yo we FINALLY got something & it was worth the wait! I dig everything we've seen so far! Do we know if they're gonna do weekly episodes for Season 1 or are they gonna drop the whole thing on launch day?

 

Have to say I’m very surprised by what I saw here, it looks good for crying out loud!

 

Ok, I just went from mildly interested to full on hyped after seeing Swindle is back! My pfp is totally relevant here, lol. Here's hoping the rest of the Combaticons are in this too. And that they get the personalities right. I'd be disappointed to see Swindle brought in only to act like some generic thug Con.
So far I'm liking what I see for the most part. (I like Wheeljack's design already). Bombshell looks scary, which is good.

 

Not very pleased about Optimus. His design, voice, and apparently personality are all just more of the same thing we’ve gotten before but just slightly different: boring neo-G1 robot mode, boring not-Peter Cullen Optimus Prime impression, and boring lack of personality. I’m feeling the same way about Bumblebee, which it seems will be more of the same boring Evergreen muscle car design. I’m also assuming he also may once again take the role of “main transformer” since he’s going to be teaching the kid characters.

I’m also really not a fan of the girl’s creepy bug eyes.

 

I cannot stress how annoyed I am at these kids narrowly avoiding an explosion, falling down a hill in such a way as they should have broken every bone in their bodies, and then they just leisurely walk away and have an angry chat entirely unrelated to their situation. It really, really bothers me. Like, that is unnaturally bad writing.

 

I have only a single issue with this show so far. Why is everything about the girl's head so friggin big? she looks like an alien compared to literally every other human designs.

 

They did take 2 real nasty falls. Like, I risk popping my hip out of place just by laying down incorrectly.  

But I don't think those scenes are trying to be logical or realistic. They're just trying to be a fun kids action cartoon, so don't think about it too much.  

 

Even for a "fun kids' action cartoon" that was bad. I would love something closer to Avatar: tLAB than this. Maybe the rest of the series will be better. I probably won't know until it's available somewhere other than Paramount+.

 

Well, this is a lot better looking then I thought it would be. This shot in particular looks amazing.
Might actually have to check this out.

 

The animation looks just as bad as I thought. Seriously, Wheeljack and Swindle look like they came from fan animations. As for the characters, they seem to be semi-decently written from what the trailer shows us, although that isn’t something good. Overall, the show isn’t interesting enough to get yet another streaming service.
