Soundwave's robot mode looks like a Gundam. What's with the wasp waist?

 

I tried to write a fix-it fic for IDW and 400K words in, I just accepted that I was going to have to go AU because:

1. Too many convoluted things going on in too short a period of time with millions of years where essentially nothing happen?

2. There were some things done on both sides that I don't want any of my characters doing, and I am a "there are only shades of grey in war" kinda person.

That happened in IDW, though. Soundwave was angry enough when Megatron quit the Decepticons that he told Ravage to follow him--and kill him, if it turned out to be true.

(I do not expect to see this, but I will wax rapturous with joy if there is even a hint of the complex relationship between Megatron, Ravage and Soundwave that IDW kept hinting at but never confirmed. I did not pull the ships in my fics completely out of my aft exhaust port. What's hilarious is that Riptide, of all people, noticed and called it out.)

I would prefer there not be humans if the humans aren't great characters, so I'm glad to see that they look like they are.

I expect that since it's a kid's show on Nick, the extent and nature of Megatron's crimes will be just as unclear and left up to the imagination as it was in Cyberverse, and really I'm okay with that, because the war crimes are one of the least interesting things about that war. Every war has war crimes. They're horrible, and that's a fact, but it's not fun reading. I'm far more interested in the crimes of the society that led to the war.

Have you seen IDW2019 Skywarp? Man. That is what I want her to be like.

 

i think everyone that has articulated has a point however we dont know how bad this megatron was at the height of the war, if hes like just a madman and egomaniac or a more sus facislite like there have been versions of him will determine how much I buy his apparent turnheel



you can do really bad stuff and while not being forgiven and forgoten work to make rights out of the wrongs that's the best way to take this idea going forward, as long at isnt the cheap star wars I did one thing good now (even if I die) all is forgiven bye! take.

I'm sorry, but everything about this show looks like pure and total garbage. The trailer is darn near unwatchable. Also, Optimus Prime with that mouth looks even worse than him with a mouth in the IDW comics. This is my opinion. If you enjoy the show, more power to you.

It's just more throwaway lazy evergreen kitch, they've been churning out for ages.

Optimus's face looks like a parody of his powermaster face when he died.

Megs being a good guy whilst other Decepticons are bad makes no sense.

Even the mixed family reeks off marketing over storytelling.

Far from the weirdest thing in this post but, like c'mon, use your brain guy, it's clearly part of the storyline of the leader looking at what he's done and going "bit far fellas" and his teammates ditching him and not be as self aware as he is, media literacy isn't this hard!

 

If the dad character in your show, film, what have you looks even vaguely similar to, and has the same fashion sense as Gomez Addams, you're doing something right.

He just needs model trains as a hobby and then we're set!

 

How about use your own brain. Megatron always commanded loyalists. All of a sudden now they no longer fear Megatron or have lost their fervent devotion?

 

Almost like this is an all new show and continuity!

 

Idk where to put these but new EarthSpark Figures. And yes shockwave is just a repaint of the CV Deluxe, however sporting a very nice deco I may get all the Deluxes cause why not. It looks like a fun toyline and the show looks fun as well.

 

Wow. Maybe because it’s a kid show it doesn’t appeal to your old self. Even though it is made for let me think hmmmm children, I still think it’ll be a decent show. It’s a whole new show with new ideas. Sorry it’s not going to be boring ass “Geewunn but different” again. It’s trying something new and a bit like IDW 1.0.

 

Trash looks good, Optimus too, but Shockwave being a repaint is a bit lame. I hope his BAF piece is the extra yellow arm instead of something essential.

The toy doesn't look that great.

The 1 step changers are for little kids though--I'm hoping we'll get another one later on.

 

Since this is streaming on Paramount+ I'm wondering how well dose it work? Is it still having problems or has it gotten any better?

 

I've been watching Star Trek Enterprise on it and in general it doesn't seem to have any problems

 

You can legally watch Paramount + with relative ease on Prime video for a subscription fee orrrrr you can watch it online for free in lots of places that I will not link to here because of their dubious legal status.
