I think quite a few Prime teams use it. Problem is more of Optimus’ rush unpredictability.

 

Straxus' ability is quite usuful in heavily fortified bases, I sometimes pair Straxus with Megatron, but I rather use the enemy walls to my advantage when using Megatron.

 

I have a feeling I know the answer but here it goes: I'm back in after three or so years away, still have my original teams (yay!) but found out Rotorstorm was available in an event late last year...is there a way to get him now?

 

Bundles for now, I don't know if he has been added to the regular premium, 3* and 4* crystals yet.

I wouldn't know. I Skene my last 15k 5* shards on the 5* Overlord part, and I just got to 5k again, but I'm saving again for the inevitable 5* titan part. I can't commit to a super avoidance even though I regularly score more than good enough because I can't actually commit that much due to work. I just never know.

 

I may have started playing for the first time because they added Minerva into the game and I need all the Masterforce content I can get…   Anyways, game is still fun so far even at a low level, ive just been grinding story mode. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for a beginner? It seems like most popular/strong alliances are Decepticons only so idk…

 

The majority of people who play the game do so with the Autobots.

Some tips

• Spend the cybercoins only on construction bots and events for fuel cells if necessary...
• Build your squadrons according to your playing style and not others'
• Be patient
• There is not such a thing as low tier bots, just players that don't know how to use them. So experiment with different squadron configurations
• Build your base to repel the most common squadron setups, most people don't like to think and just copy what others do...
• Level up ALL your base's buildings, don't rush it

 

Join a good alliance. That will help you get more stuff than anything else.

 

Also, it is not necessary to spend. But if you're going to spend, only buy two things with a clear conscience:

* The new joiner pack that is $20 (American) and gets you a 4* Optimus/Megatron, 3* combiner and a bunch of other stuff. That is insanely good value.
* The battle pass each season - for $10 (American) you get some decent swag.

Everything else? Well, just know what your odds are before you buy. For example, the Jetfire pack they're offering right now for $20 gets you 10 Jetfire crystals and 10 Cybertron Jetfire crystals. You have a 1.8% chance of getting a 4* and a 10.2% chance of a 3*. So basically of those 10 crystals, you should expect 0 4*, 1 3* and 9 2*. And I don't remember the odds of getting the actual character from the pack but I think it's around 40%. So you MIGHT get 4 Jetfire's from your Jetfire crystals. And they're probably all 2*.

 

I don't want to know how much money I sunk into Legends but I've told my wife I don't want to spend money on virtual robots when I can use the same amount of cash to buy real plastic ones  

 

I don't want to think about how much I've spent on this game over the last 5 years. Especially during lockdown.

 

Too much here. Usually a bundle of fuel during the events. Sometimes a bundle of crystals to get bots/cores. Only with the heavy events I tend to spend a bit more, especially with the inevitable 5* Titan event coming in the future.

 

With all that being said, if they offer Rotorstorm again I may cave purely due to nostalgia...

 

I only have the 3*. I like him. I hope to get the 4* sometime.

 

3* would do me just fine. I don't need a hugely powered skyborne doombringer, I just want my childhood favourite on my team   I really, really wish there was some way to trade in bots you don't want/need.

 

I get ya. But I doubt they will implement that. Just hope you can get the 3* or enough character shards to get him.

 

After hitting "POST REPLY" I realised what a kick in the teeth the sudden implementation of that feature would be for folks who have paid for characters before.
