Is EarthSpark confirmed a 4k animated show?

It's nice there's a DVD release, any idea on bonus features? Or is this more akin to a minimal release (someone years ago called it, soccer mom DVDs).

If the internet goes down, or your favorite shows or movies on streaming have your favorite parts edited to not offend someone, you will wish you had a DVD to watch the original version not offered by our overlords anymore. J/S

I've also found some movies and TV shows not offered on any streaming services that I was glad to have the DVD for.

A lot of people like to actually own things, and have the ability to watch it when they want, without having to hope it’s still on a streaming service when they want to watch it.

I don’t know why that’s confusing. You don’t own anything with streaming. You do with a physical copy.

Not too many are opposed to physical media. We just don't want to watch a 480p resolution on a big 4k TV.

Me either, but if this is the only way to own it physically, I’ll take it.

I don't need enough resolution to see the nose hairs on a character. My TV for most of the 1990's was a portable black-and-white TV/radio. Blu-Ray would be nice, but any sort of physical media is preferable to none.

Are we really still questioning the logic behind physical media in a post David Zaslov world?

Those first 3 came out well over a decade ago. Also, CW was a bonus feature on the Target exclusive of TLK Blu Ray.

Quality is also better. I'm very happy to have a big physical collection. I have many movies that I could watch all the time on Disney Plus, but also a lot that I couldn't watch, if I didn't have the discs. But I replaced 99% of my DVDs with BluRay many, many years ago.

Why do so many people appear to be assuming that everyone has a giant television? The vast majority of people I know do not, and never will.

I guess it depends where you are. Everyone I know has at least a 50" TV and most of those are 4K sets.

I've never watched this series, but if the source was just SD, then I could see DVD being the logical choice.

I don't trust any of the streaming services. Netflix and HBO are notorious for removing content. And I don't trust Disney not to change or censor content.

This ! I have subscriptions to a few streaming services, but every time I think about an older movie that I haven’t seen in a long time and do not own on physical, it’s never on anything ! At one point I considered selling my dvd collection, but a big chunk of my collection are older horror movies, 80’s action, black and white oldies, b-movies and « cult » movies. 95% of those can’t be found on any streaming services. Yeah sure, on internet anything can be « found » nowadays if you search enough. But I rather watch my old dvd’s than stream or download on questionable sources

I'm not against dvds, I'm one of those people that prefers to own a physical copy of shows/movies, but why didn't they atleast wait until all of season 1 released?

It's pretty common for kid shows like this to be released in chunks on dvd.

Yeah watching this series once is more than enough so definitely not buying this to add to my other Transformers series DVDs.

Yeah that’s not an official release. Not sure why this was front paged as it clearly comes from a bootlegging site.
