Tell me about it. Everything Disney has put out on it's service clearly isn't seeing a release date anytime soon. Anyway, I have every US Transformers cartoon on physical media (minus Beast Machines) so course I plan to pick this up as well.

That's is often the case, but for parents physical media is sometimes a great option for shows that aren't readily available on streaming or if they need access to media on non-streaming devices.

Yeah after the HBO shenanigans last year it definitely kicked me into gear to start getting hold of physical media stuff whenever I can.

I’m a person who actually still occasionally uses dvds, but I didn’t think anyone else is, let alone hasamount themselves.

That's cool but can we get all of RID2001, RID2015, Rescue Bots and Cyberverse on physical media?

I’m someone that still watch DVDs. Like after getting rid of the VHS tapes, seemed pointless to me to just rebuy everything yet again. So I kept buying DVDs since they’re still being made.

I'm glad it's getting a physical release, but blu-ray or 4k would be better.

I do. I also buy CDs (and burn CDs when I buy digital albums). Handy to have a physical copy when your hard drive dies, or when the online source you rely on ceases to exist.

Gotta say it does amaze me the number of people who want a copy of their own but don't seem willing to turn to piracy. It's a very easy and simple thing, and, given the apparent lack of interest from Hasbro in supplying a product, seems the obvious solution to me.

Yes, I got it. See below:

Shh. You can't say those things 'round these parts.

Shh. You can't say those things 'round these parts.

I have a few DVDs of rare items they, for some reason, refuse to make digital or even upconvert. I still prefer digital or 4k. DVD takes a lot of getting used to these days with 4 and 8k panels.

But have you actually seen/heard Blu-ray and 4k in person? At home? DVD's great, if nothing else is available, but seriously...it's actually worth the investment and upgrade. There will come a time when both DVD and Blu-ray discs will no longer be produced. (I'm not saying whether or not that's a good thing, I'm just saying it's a thing. It's also none of my business what you think of it, so...there we go.)

    Agreed.

You do realize piracy is against the rules, here, right? I mean, even mentioning it could get trouble brewing. C'mon. Be better than that. That's the argument of a figure swapper. Does it suck when things aren't available? Sure. Does that mean you should actively go out and steal it? No.

This is why I still buy physical media. Digital while more convenient comes with a major downside and that's being at the mercy of whatever agreements the service and the studio made and as seen with Apple, if there's ever a disagreement between the two then all that content can be yanked from your library even if you paid for it. You don't own what you buy.

Yes, Shout! seemingly dropped the series after they only released the first season in its entirety. After the two season two-part stories got a separate release, that was it. I'm not sure they ever explicitly said they lost the Transformers license, but it certainly seems so considering their last releases were 5-6 years ago.

The rest of RiD15 did receive a complete DVD release in Australia, albeit on a series of single DVDs rather than boxsets.

Australia also got single DVDs covering the whole of the first season of Cyberverse. After that, the distributor there unfortunately pulled out of the home media market, which might make the RiD15 season 2-4 and Cyberverse season 1 DVDs harder to track down these days.

It's sometimes overlooked, but Combiner Wars received a release on the Target-exclusive Blu-ray edition of The Last Knight - although it didn't include any of the prelude episodes.

I see what there doing. There doing the same thing. They do for the Star Trek cartoon dvds. So this will be a 2 or 3 vol set to complete season 1. Ok.. If hasbro is letting TF back on to dvd. There are SO MANY More that need dvd sets. Like the 2001 & 2015 RID Series Rescue Bots & Cyberverse the Net Flix thing.

Unless this DVD transforms into a 4K disc in disguise, no buy.

I just mean if it’s DVD or Blu-Ray, I want the Blu-Ray—DVDs look so bad on modern TVs, even TVs with upscaling

Dvd over blu-ray for me. I hope this sells very well. Hasbro can see that fans want the rest of the shows on dvd.
