I have a soft spot for transformers with terrible paint jobs and/or that are just ugly as all hell. So I'm a massive G2 fan

But I agree with the majority on this: these are abberations of science that have clearly gone too far, and should be denied of its existence like those shitty E.T. games.

 

These charactures don't look anything like these guys but I guess that's part of the humor?

Really? TakaraTomy goes out of their way to retool Cerebros into this, but couldn't even bother to give any of the street fighter II figures new faceplates.

I want these...but not for the asking price of $140ish + shipping between the DVDs and the mail-in cost. Middleman cost will be even higher...

 

I thought the same of Street Fighter Ryu-mus Prime. In fact, I am geared up to make my first TFWiki edit for that one as a photo caption that says, "Not the White Prime you were expecting".

If those were cheaper and states-side, I'd probably buy a SF Ryu, dissolve the flesh paint in alcohol, do a few detail touches in Tamiya, and call that Ultra Magnus.

 

I like the colours, the white and blue works really well, but those faces ..... no.

 

It’s in your 2nd image , Hamada has always been called a monkey therefore the pouting /big lips

 

Definitely the paintjob works well, not offensive to the eye. Very reminiscent of Tigertron.
