As of 12:00 p.m. I spoke with a hasbro csr about the release of
these two figures. She stated that both had been released by hasbro in the third quarter to the distributors for release to their respective clients ( i.e., walmart, tru, target, ext.)

their item numbers from hasbro are:

32364- transformers deluxe mechtech luxury car( wheeljack)
29708- transformers deluxe mechtech european sports car (mirage)

you can verify this information by calling 1-800-327-8264 between 0900 and 1600 est.

Wut, indeed. I just called again to verify that I had not posted information that was incorrect, and Hasbro stated that both figures had in fact been released to the distributors in August, and that they should be getting them to the stores shortly.

Again, this was directly from a CSR at Hasbro Consumer Affairs. I've tried getting answers from others who post info on here, with no results, so I just went straight to the manufacturer.

 

Because a random CSR will have product release date info?

 

Thats why I posted a phone number, so those with questions could call. I just wanted to get a straight answer from someone, not the runaround rumors most are posting here.

 

That's cool, but in my experience CSR's talk out their asses most of the time.

But one can hope! I know I certainly want both of those molds!

But hey...I still say all these coupons is a way for Hasbro to clearance pegwarmers to make room for new stuff. If they didnt do these coupons, we would have pegwarmers blocking new items.

SO, I believe the coupons out now, are going to stop later waves not being able to get to stores, and ending up at Ross, or TJs. I also think the date the coupons end coincide with the estimated delivery of new waves. I will bet that most targets around me, have a few cases of the new Airraid/darksteel wave, and they will be put out the day after the coupons expire.

You sure that isn't Soundwave instead of Mirage? Mirage isn't slated until 2012.

 

If it was Wheeljack and Soundwave, this wouldn't believable. They're the two new figures in their wave, and are supposed to hit retail before the end of the year. Mirage on the other hand shouldn't be on his way till sometime next year. If he was going to be released this year we would have seen him by now. Sounds like the CSR was talking out their ass.

 

Mirage is listed as " Transformers DOTM Mechtech European sports car" beside his Hasbro item number. This is the same description that appears on the Tel-Zons at Wal-Mart.
This is why I listed the phone number so that others could call and verify what I said.

I only posted this because I thought it may asist in disspelling the multitude rumors swirling around.


Also, a japanese source on FaceBook has listed a picture of Mirage, in packaging, but the name says something other than Mirage.

 

No, it only makes those rumours worse, because now you have added to the mix some BS given to you by a misinformed CSR.
Do you see how citing your source only makes your information less reliable?
