here's my little review SPOILER ALERT
    Good:
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was actually not bad, but i would of still preferred megan fox
    Great high way battle scene
Got a glimpse of the cargo trailer in action(that was pretty sweet)
    Final battle was pretty cool

    Bad:
-Shia Lebouf's Sam is irritating, hated the scene where he just goes to the NESTS base and starts complaining and bragging... always saying he saved the world twice and crap like that...
-Ironhide's death was unexpected and unnecessary, they didn't even mention him after his death
-So mankind can build a shuttle and fly to moon any time ?
-Autobot's exile was a joke, unnecessary and stupid writing just so optimus can come back and save the day again
-Bad editing, one minute Bumble Bee saves Sam, the next minute he's captured by Decepticons
-Bad overall story, so if Megatron planned all these human traitors all along,(how the F can he do that since he just got released in T1) there shouldn't be ROTF movie, he and the fallen should of just went ahead and did this instead of activating that sun eater machine.
-Bad pacing, when the movie starts to get exciting, we had to sit through 10 minutes of Sam's job interview, just as it starts to pick back up, we had to watch Sam's family meeting.
-The whole "movie" felt like an episode of some soup opera, no real links in between, just stuff happening to the same bunch of people
i was just hoping to have a good time, wasn't expecting it to be really good, but this just pisses me off
and why the hell would any one say the wreckers were racist robots, they were barely in this movie !

Thanks for posting your review. I respectfully disagree with it though but it's nice that you said why you hated the movie, which is better then saying "Duh diz movie suckz".

Haven't seen the movie yet (although to be honest what I've read hasn't exactly got me enthused about it) but can't remember if I heard something right awhile back. Was the Imax version supposed to have a little longer running time or am I just remembering that from ROTF?

No, they weren't. One of them had a British accent and another one had a Scottish accent.

If DOTM had been the result of a writer's strike during production, I would've accepted it. I liked ROTF more than DOTM, for some reason it seemed to flow better to me.

DOTM had all the characteristics of uninspired writing. Sam's character in DOTM was a complete 180 to his character in ROTF. The robots got little characterization, and the ones that did, got awful characterization. The plot seemed to have no rhyme or reason, and the film itself was far too rushed.

I'm not trying to pin this all on Ehren Krueger here, because it's obviously a team effort to make a movie.

It seems that everyone is at loggerheads as to what they really don't like about this film. Some people say that there is too much useless characterisations of the robots, pretty sure a critic said this. Yet some people say there isn't enough or none at all.

The problem with producing a film with a massive fan-base and many iterations of itself is that all the fans like and hate different aspects of it, so he is going to lose no matter what he does. Critics don't like "popcorn flicks", and fans don't like "obvious and cheesy" references, such as lines from Spock in his Star Trek days.

Luckily, I'm not an old school fan of Transformers or a critic. I'm just a regular guy who loves seeing the action I have been treated to in this trilogy. I think everyone is angry at what they think SHOULD have or COULD have been in the film, rather than what WAS.

Well put. There's something to be said for having a point of view free of baggage. I went into Casino Royale having not been a big fan of the Bond franchise previously and I really enjoyed myself. Then I went back to the back catalog and I'm having a lot of entertainment there as well. Just have to suspend any expectation that Craig was going to be like Moore or Connery and I'm fine. :)

I'm just waiting for MovieBob's review to appear on The Escapist, not cos it'll be glowing or anything: I just wanna listen him finally have that aneurysm he's been working towards since Green Lantern.

EDIT: it's up, but sadly, no major brain snap occurs. Oh well.

I don't think his criticism is invalid, some of the points are very valid but I'll admit to liking the movie in spite of its faults.

I would be at a loss on how to address the film's genuine faults though.

All I hear is "whine whine whine". Also the way he called the audience "stupid" is annoying, not a good way to make me keep watching a review.

As far as popcorn fliks go this movie was amazing. As far as being a tarnsformers fan I realey liked the movie but can definately see room for improvement. I wish the flow of the movie was was a little bit better and it would have a lot more emotion to it i would like to care more about these characters espeacily the wreckers (I wasnt expecting European accents). Unfortanately thats just not Micheal Bays style.

Ive seen the movie twice so far and i wont mind seeing it again and i will definately pic it up on blueray when it comes out
