I would love for Isenberg to write a TF live action movie. That would be awesome. And if he collaborated with Furman? Nothing short of epic.
Furman is a veteran writer for the TF comics. Isenberg worked on Transformers: Animated. Not sure about Forward.
To be honest, I'm flabbergasted that no-one approached Furman at all for creative input. His reaction to the first film indicates he was completely out of the loop. I can only imagine what might have been.
I think you may be confused there, didn't Orci say that Kruger was more of the expert? And doesn't DOTM kind of prove that? I don't watch Prime.
As a person who disliked the film (heartily), I can say that I agree with what you're saying. Many of the reviews that say it was good are completely overblown. I've read few realistic and fair reviews, but it makes me feel good to know that those kind of fans are still out there.
I should have said "theatrical films" instead of "franchise". I'm sure animated 30 minute television programs are probably more their speed.
Oh God yes that would be awesome. I did like DOTM, hell of a lot more than ROTF but it's not as good as the first movie which still made more sense.
"I'm the Goddamned Optimus Prime!" I got another: "I touched my mother's chestplate...it leaked energon on me..."
It's a lot easier to start a new universe with a first movie since it's somewhat of a blank slate; the hard part is fleshing out that universe in future sequels to keep its continuity intact but fluid enough for additional stories.
I find weird this "lol they wrote cartoons i like the movies would be good" mentality. Movies and comics and cartoons are VERY different mediums with different needs, and to be honest, the only movie Marty ever wrote was horse shit. Don't know if Simon did a movie in his past though.
I kinda lost interest at "this is if your like fucking five.." Hint: If you want to bash a movie, go for it, don´t insult those who liked by being an ass.
