This was a commissioned piece. The commissioner requested a non-transforming figure that was decked out with big honkin' weapons and damage that made him look like he went through war. Ironhide was give the usual treatment but this time I went with a much more subdued paint job that really looks like grime and grit in person. The colors are much more uniform and really fit the persona of Bay-verse Ironhide.

I modified the knees to alloh Ironhide to stand up about 1/2" taller, as well as gave him ball jointed feet to allow for many different poses. Since he was to be non-transforming I permanently mounted the weaponry as well as gave him larger upgraded articulated hands that are on ball joints. He also features independently operating LEDs in the eyes, headlights and both weapons.

I'm sure it's not completely movie accurate, but to me, this is what I imagine a leader sized representation of this character to be. Really well done on the LEDs, the weathering, and the overall look.

It's actually an ammo belt, if you look in the photos one of them has a close up where you can see the individual bullets.

 

I think I'm one of the few that prefer him mask up, you did a,great job on him, love the shade of brown you used on him, not enough people go with the more movie accurate hues.

Lol im using a new laptop. I know it's an ammo belt. it just looks like a shockwave hose cuz its attached to his back. Idk. to me he would look better without it. everything else looks freakin awesome  

 

You got the back tires where they should be and the gun gimmick in his chest looks way better on his cannon. Nice!
