That looks really boring. :/ Same old G1, limited charatcers, limited campaign. It's just a fighting game with Transformers skins.

Yes, yes, yes sweet mother of God yes!!! This looks great! So many characters from the original on display in the trailer that I have to buy this game. Plus, seeing Optimus leaping at Devastator with his Energon Axe looks awesome as hell. A definite buy.

Looks pretty, but gameplay looks like a button mashing bore. A crappy fighting game, no thanks.

I have to agree the gameplay combat looks quite boring, and a little too anime with Bee charging up while everything freezes. I would like some racing aspects if they're fast and like an actual racing game, but the fighting is a bunch random nonsense that looks extremely bland. If your going to do melee combat, you need to put the time into creating animations for both you and the enemy so it looks like your interacting with them, rather than just having enemies doing slightly different damage taking animations. I'll still buy and play since its visually nice and G1 styled, but only when its 20 bucks or so.

They should have just made a fighting game like street fighter. Less time spent making useless filler between fights and more time making better fighting dynamics. I would spend new game price on a G1 fighter, plus you could have dlc characters, maps, etc.

Pretty much. The appeal of this game for me begins and ends with the high-quality 80's animation style.

For those desiring a larger, more open game... I can safely say this will not be for you in all likelihood. Unless you really enjoy games like Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, and other pure action games full of fast paced combos and highly stylized visuals, this game will not appeal.

This is an old school, straight up action driven beat 'em up. Platinum Games does those like no other, and I can't wait personally! But it's not going to be some open world free roam adventure game. So don't expect it to be.

The replay value in these games comes from mastering the mechanics, unlocking all the secrets and items, leveling up fully, beating your high scores, and beating it on every difficulty. As I said: old school. I LOVE it, but it won't be for certain gamers' tastes.

Bayonetta 2 was my favorite game last year though, so this is perfect for me. :)

Mine too! Having Platinum bring their combat style to Transformers is the most I could ask for.

I'm glad it's not another shooter style game (I know people liked those but we've had a few by now and I never cared for them so a little variety in TF games is welcome).

5 autobots: Prime, Wheeljack, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and Grimlock. No playable Decepticons.

It's going to just be all about maxing those characters out, unlocking items and moves, mastering combos, and beating the game on multiple difficulties. Bayonetta style. (5 characters is actually a ton for a Platinum game.)

I'm unbelievably excited for this game!

Like others, I'm not a huge fan of what the game-play looks like but I'm willing to give it a try. I've never played a platinum game before but they seem to be pretty high rated.

I just can't get over how G1 this game is. The designs are wonderful and to have some of the original voice actors is so great! I never thought a game like this would be made.

    I can't wait!

I'd wager that there are a lot more Autobot characters lurking beneath the surface, but they'll be like power-ups and AI-controlled cohorts. Cool with that, too. :D
