Liking the designs! Glad kids are going to get a more G1-style show than bayformers-style. RID was getting there with its later figures but they weren't really in the show except for Cyclonus. I'm glad we still have a good Generations line so I don't have to complain how they're not what I'd want.

If they do a larger (voyager) Shockwave, I'll probably get it. I really like that Shockwave as a Voyager... even if the transformation is silly. That style will still fit with Generations.

 

I'll probably pick up Shockwave and Megatron if they look good in person.

I'm wondering if the new class names are intentional in order to help buyers differentiate between the "media" line and the Generations line.

Scouts and Legends are the same size, but different articulation/features for example.

And if Ultimates are $30 Leader sized figures the decrease in price makes sense. You allow kids and collectors to have a diverse assortment of figures at different sizes without having to commit to the extra costs.

 

Hey Hasbro... can you just, like, stop encasing Prime's hands in truck kibble? It's very unsightly.

Overall I think Starscream and Shockwave are the two best of the bunch.

 

warrior starscream's wings look wrong to me.

his wings look like his CW wings, but their placement matches RiD starscream.
it works for RiD starscream because he has forward swept wings, but for large standard wings it looks out of place.

 

These actually look pretty good, but then again RiD\'s bar might have been pretty low.

I'm curious about Babby Megs and Starscream with the absurd back kibble -- while jetformers are bound to have kibble in robot mode, that's just RIDICULOUS. I kinda love it, not gonna lie.

 

Well that Shockwave has a decent robot mode, but I am not a fan of that tank mode.

 

I REALLY hope that's an "attack mode" and not the designers giving up.

 

I don't mind simpler designs, quite frankly in some cases I welcome them. But it seems no matter how simple a design is and how much they save that way, we never get basic amounts of paint. Wheels being constantly unpainted just looks cheap and trashy and ruins many a vehicle transformer. Same goes for unpainted windows, headlights, etc. We are not talking tons of needed paint detail here, just the basics.

They skimp out on these things hoping you don't mind being robbed blind. I might pick up some of these that look decent and don't have any ugly flaws like most of the Bumblebees I see here. But I already see a few of these lacking the paint needed to make them look good. They are very inconsistent.

 

man, i really wish they'd stop giving starscreams fake cockpits. it's just as bad as giving an optimus fake windows.

 

These look okay for what they are. Unfortunately, I'll likely be passing on the line unless they have a few cool/quirky designs like RID/Adventure did.

 

I get the feeling that the Bumblebee Movie Action Attackers will be similar to these; they have the same four price points

Hooray! More money saved. Easy pass for me.
Though with a little refinement, that Shockwave would be pretty cool. And a larger size. Not really interested in a Deluxe Shockwave (where's my voyager?).

 

At this rate, I won’t be getting any more Transformers after POTP is done.
