Hasbro needs to get it together and just forget about the kids, they’re smart enough to know what to do. And in the end adults are spending money on them. So fuck the kids.

I’ll admit warrior class Optimus and Bumblebee aren’t great looking, but really the rest of the figures aren’t that bad. They look like the characters they’re meant to represent, have decent looking alt modes, actually look like they’ve got some paint on them and don’t have totally hollow limbs like the actual dollar store figures. They’re no worse or more “dumbed down” than some of the cartoon series lines that have gone before. Personally I wouldn’t buy them simply because I don’t collect the cartoon-based lines (especially as the last few series have had particularly stylised designs), but that’s not to say that they are simply bad toys. And as for them having a ‘premium price point’, the four size classes are each a fair bit cheaper than the Generations equivalent size.

This is not replacing classics/generations/whatever we call it, right?  I\'m just confused on where they will be fitting in.  Honestly asking, not trying to hate on them.

 

No, this is the new cartoon series.

 

I love how pissed Shockwave looks! I definitely like the cut of his jib the most out of all these figures, and his funky tripod cannon mode is all kinds of adorable. Ultra Grimlock and both Strascreams look decent too, though I can't help but wonder if these toys would work better as legend size class figures (minus the scout ones of course). Still, I'm postive some of you will kitbash a kickass Skyquake out of that Ultra class Screamer!

Seems in character. We've also got Bee with his Cool Runnings cosplay and Grimlock with.......??? A surprise cranial collapse? Meg's looks good.

 

Why are so many of the Optimus Prime toys over the years with out his trailer?
I hope we get a tv trailer for the show soon.

 

I see all these new animated shows and toylines and think? When is Animated coming back?
