News Post: Transformers: Cyberverse Season 4 Official Product Reveal
The in hand images look really good, especially Bumblebee. I would buy these if it weren’t for the insane price (couldn’t they be $30?) and Optimus having that disgusting cybertronian truck mode.
It's taken me this long to realize "Dinobots Unite" is not only referencing the focus on the Dinobots...but the fact that Volcanicus will make his first official media appearance (I think).
He appeared in the machinima series and on earth wars
Fused legs and no knees on your "kiddie" products again, Hasbro? We keep telling you this, but kids aren't dumb!
Might as well be his first media appearance. I don’t think anyone even remembers that horrible series.
It's about cost, pure and simple. From appearances, they've slashed budgets to the bone and yet still demand premium pricing for molds wish gigantic hollow spaces, dollar-store-levels of gimped articulation and clip wheels. But hey, they threw in an LED! Value!
I see it's available in-store over in the UK now:
(bummer - out of stock)
It's for the gimmick, it allows it to transform by itself i think
Kids aren't dumb, but they're also hard on their toys. And since the whole gimmick with these is rolling and popping up building a durable figure that doesn't fly apart after a particularly strong push is ideal.
My four year old loves his chunky Cyberverse stuff because it's easy to transform and he can slam them around without breaking. Can't say the same for Kingdom.
The Cyberverse line, as a whole, is designed to be sturdier. Simpler transformations and less articulation but different spring loaded gimmicks (and sometimes lights and sounds) to compensate.
Kids dig it.
Where are the Dinobots?
Correct me if im wrong...but the images where the Dinobots are...at the bottom does that say Dinobots Unite?
Clearly this sub line is not for adult collectors. But Im think that Rescue bots fans will be super happy with this. Seems to be durable and strong toys, and with accesories.
These look smaller than the CGI images made them out to be. Not sure about the $50 price tag now...
Oh how I wish for Generations style figures of these designs...
Cybverse has a mix of vehicles. The higher price points are typically the less articulated but gimmicky kind while the mid to low prices are more articulated with less intrusive gimmicks.
I'm pretty sure we're getting Deluxes of all 5 Dinobots. Or, at least, the 4 that didn't already. Those are essentially Generations figures.
There is a confirmed Volcanicus figure that, based on what we've got, is likely a combining figure of some sort. Though likely simpler and closer to the ones we saw in RiD than the ones we've seen in Generations.
Deluxes like the Build-a-Figure releases? Weren't those kinda hollow and cheap? Nah, I mean figures more akin to what we're getting in Kingdom. Nice solid figures (and in more than one size class).
Also I guess I should clarify: I don't mean specifically Cyberverse, but rather I want good quality figures of the Evergreen designs in general.
No. They were like Generations Deluxes.
