News Post: Transformers: Cyberverse Season 3 Greenlit, Possible TV Movie Listed
Okay, a Cyberverse TV movie sounds incredibly stupid.
But oooo Micronauts, can't wait to see how they screw this one up, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.
... Probably not.
Why not? Transformers: Prime got one (Predacons Rising), RID2015 got one (Starscream Arc), so a 1.5 hour TV Event/Movie for Cyberverse would be the same.
I'm enjoying Cyberverse, and season 2 definitely improved upon season 1, so I'm excited for season 3, and the prospect of a TV movie.
I\'m quite enjoying Season 2 of Cyberverse so far. Definite improvement over Season 1. It will be quite interesting to see how this TV Movie will come into fruition.
I don't see it like an 18 episode season and a movie, but as they've done setting the stage up, so the next season would be a proper 26 short episodes long one. But both ways would be interesting to see.
a cyberverse movie? so what, its gonna be a whole 15 minutes long then?
I think story editor Randolph's tongue-in-cheek reaction seems to confirm something :
I think this series is much more hit than miss as time goes on and I hope maybe it could be the first TF cartoon to enjoy a good long run.
Well this sounds pretty good I really hope it happens season 2 is pretty good so far I just can’t wait to see what comes next hopefully they do something with unicron or have sixshot or even the DJD ( but that probably will never happen) but still I hope they bring the obscure deceptions like what they did with bludgeon
Yay! Cyberverse has been a really nice bit of companion media next to Rescue Heroes, Movieverse and Generations.
I really thought that Cyberverse wouldnt be picked up for a 3rd season due to lack of toy sales
My local toy stores seem to move Cyberverse toys with much more ease than any of the more expensive collector lines. Anecdotal evidence varies from people to people, it's silly to assume something is bombing just because in your area it sells bad.
I travelled across the country in the summer and Cyberverse was the line that sticked out, some stores didnt even carry Cyberverse
I mean, if you're traveling, you probably would have no idea of which toys were just re-stocked in each store. That actualy serves as an even bigger example of why "well in a story i visited i saw that-" is not a good metric for gauging interest in a line at all.
Specially since Transformers is a worldwide toyline with wildly different prices across different countries. I can tell you that around here any collector aimed toy like Generations or Studio Series is too expensive and will likely scare away any parent, while Cyberverse and Rescue Bots toys are significantly more affordable even with the bigger toys.
Considering how little info we've had so far...
