Given the studio's past works, they can more than pull off 11 minute episodes. If you haven't watched The Amazing World of Gumball, you absolutely should because it's fantastic.

Besides, here's HOPING that they don't pull a Steven Universe on us and only release episodes when the station feels like it...

 

NuRID? It’s centered around Bee, Optimus and Windblade. There's no sign any characters other than the usual suspects will be in this. The only Decepticons will probably be Megatron and Starscream.
I'm getting far more of an animated/Prime vibe from this and I didn't care for those.
Maybe neither of us will enjoy this  

 

That's one of the shows that manifest what I hate about modern cartoons.

I remember when Animated was first announced and people like you were all mad and online.

Well hopefully the lack of episodes means that they’re going to move the story along fairly quickly and that each episode will lead to something.

 

Yeah and animated would have been a lot better if it had not this stylized design. But it had at least 22 minutes.

 

Well I think this show might be more another Animated than what everyone thinks.

 

That there is more effort and time put into homaging other TF media then telling it's own story?

The Bay movies were over two and a half hours long. How'd that turn out.

The Bumblebee Identity, starring Bumblebee as Jason Bourne.

It has appeal, but I need to see more. And I hope for some decent characters.

 

Oh, I'm aware NuRID and this will be separate entities. It's just that tonally I'm getting similar vibes. Seems very... Kiddy, I guess? Who knows, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised in the end.

 

You can get a lot into 11 minutes, Adventure Time, Steven Universe and as someone pointed out the old looney tunes cartoons prove it, the original Clone Wars shorts which were 5 minutes long prove it.

As for how these will air, in 22 minute blocks, two episodes back to back.

 

And since there's apparently only 18 episodes for the, uh, "Chapter," that ends becoming 9 episodes in total, assuming they effectively lead into each other. So there probably isn't going to be a lot of "filler."

Love the assumptions I see that it's going to be a "lolrandom dumbed down comedy" show based on so little information...We have a synopsis, a runtime, and a basic idea of what the show looks like. Be a little less cynical, maybe? It still sounds like it takes itself more seriously than, say, Teen Titans GO away.



Also, it's a cartoon for a children's toyline, designed to sell toys to children. No, that doesn't justify making a dumbed down product, but we literally haven't even seen the first episode yet. I don't expect something like Beast Wars or Animated, writing wise, but I'm definitely not going for the worst case scenario that it will be like the Ben 10 reboot. Let it air first, then we can all scream about the doom of the franchise.

 

The old days of good new transformers cartoons is over.

 

I'm interested to see how the show goes. I just hope the cast gets some uncommon faces. I like Windblade and Bumblebee but would like to see people like Ironhide and Jazz again.

And some uncommon Con faces like Slipstream or Blitzwing.
