I like this one a lot. Good bonding between the kid appeal character boys and the Sharkticons....i think this is genuinely the best take on them yet, first time they've ever really felt like actual characters rather than just being ravenous animals. Such a silly but fun episode.
So I'm now asking myself, are the journey to Cybertron filler episodes going to pay off once they get there?
The Journey to Cybertron episodes have small bits setting up the Quints. I have half a feeling that the Sharkticons could BE Croaton's 'missing population' captured and experimented on by the Quints, their ship was shown in that episode, eventually marooned in space after some catastrophe. I wonder if the Quints will be the bonafide creators of the Transformers this go around, who used their tech (Vector Sigma) to program the AllSpark (ancient comsic relic) to make the Transformers who were then cast off? Or perhaps, just long term occupying tyrants like Aligned? Or maybe they haven't made it to Cybertron proper yet and their machinations with ancient colonies eventually lead them there? I'm just excited to see some Quintessons.
Spoiler It's basically just setting itself for the next season , the episodes just getting to Cybertron are at least fun episodes. Especially the episode where it's just Grimlock and Arcee.
Cute they made the boss sharkticons with more shark-esque snouts. Cuter they made it look so awkward the classic ones looked more \"right\".
