Really my only problem with him is lack of ankle tilt. Really feels like they had it in the design and cut it for cost.

Looks good...... imo he is like alpha trion... they dont need to transform..... going to get maccadam for the chug collection but sell off the other figures because there is no need for 2 different G1 collections ... so I'll just use the bludgeon, rack n ruin, and maccadam until maybe one day generations does a version of them..

I dunno why you guys dislike it when one of Furman's creations FINALLY not only gets a bigger role, but also gets a toy. I for one am very happy that after being mentioned in Animated, Maccadam finally appears for reals. I liked his role as a neutral party and the revelation about who he really is should have been a surprise for only those who didn't know that was something even Furman mentioned in the Ultimate Guide and that other comics picked up on as well.
Just really wish Hasbro made a second line of figures with maybe Quintesson Judge Starscream as the build-a-figure, or someone else. But unlikely, now that the show is over. Pity because so many cool designs from the show only received rather bad 1-step changer toys.

I'm not angry about it I just preferred him being an enigma.

He was never an enigma? He physically showed up in the first issue that Maccadam's Old Oil House appeared.

    Wasn't that a retcon?

I mean, it was a retcon in that the bartender of Maccadam's Old Oil House was later identified as being Maccadam, even though he wasn't specifically called by name in the issue. I'm not sure who else it would've been anyway..

This is the franchise that officially named BW Megatron's ship "the Darksyde" because in one episode Terrorsaur used the phrase "welcome to the dark side". It would be weirder if they clarified that the bartender wasn't Maccadam.

This is true, but I like having unseen characters in fiction every once in a while.

Yeah, he was retconned to be the piano bot in the Aligned Continuity and the bartender in the Collector's Club comic. Oddly, both of those characters appeared in the Marvel comic, so it's kind of confusing. Is he both in that continuity? Neither? Who knows?

Hasbro still trying to Marvel-ize the Transformers line.  I still don\'t see the BAF line as successful for Transformers line like it is for the Marvel Legends line.  Unless they figure out how the BAF will be able to transform.

Well I would say the first step to making it work better would be to release the whole wave of figures with all the parts at once.

    Seriously...

Another thing that would make it better is to put paint on ALL of the figures, not just half of them.

    Yea this

I find hot rod to actually be pretty fantastic but his severe lack of paint is an issue. However it only hinders my enjoyment slightly.

I feel BAF transformers can work especially since there are many characters in the franchise that don't transform so I see no reason why it can't work....but like marvel its best to make all figures with parts available at one time. I have no problem with this and I'm really looking forward to completing maccadam. All the figures (paint aside) have been really good and worth picking up imo. Id like a second wave of cyberverse figures in this quality. Shadow striker and whirl have more than made themselves known in the show and deserve better figures that what's currently available of them. Most quintesson characters are shoe ins for BAF releases.

Maccadam BAF has affected the Cyberverse Deluxe line in a negative way. Still nowhere near the level of current WFC Deluxe figures.

Hot Rod in particular suffered a lot from lack of paint apps, followed by Megatron.

The line would have been much better without the BAF parts; then all the plastic and paint could've gone to the Deluxe figures. Nothing is "free". The Deluxe figures are currently being limited to 3 different plastic colors per figure: 2 for the figure and 1 for the blast effect. Any other color has to be painted on. The Maccadam parts so far have been cast in 3 colors: 2 different shades of gray and 1 shade of yellow; other details being painted on.
