I'm digging the bits of world building we're getting on Cybertron. It helps sells that the planet has a culture of it's own before the war happened.

Is cyberverse good?

- Four fingers on the hands (it hurts to look at it).
- Blue combat lasers in the Autobots and red combat lasers from the Decepticons, which is in violation of the generally accepted canon.

 

So waiting on Terminal Velocity to air, but I called it! Hot Rod and Blurr!

Meanwhile, Ep6 looks to be Decepticon-focused, which is nice. The clip of BB meeting Windblade... glad to know what the generibots turn into now!

 

Nice seeing Hot Rod and Blurr, as well as more of cybertron; but the voice actors...I'll need to adjust to them.

 

Oh damn they got the laser colours wrong, throw that shit away!

The site seems perfectly safe with no malware detections. It also seems free of intrusive advertisements like pop-ups.

 

Theres more backstory, character, and worldbuilding in this single clip then there is all five of Micheal Bay’s movies combined.

 

There's some interesting material here. Love the cube game, like that should become a minigame in any future TF Games definitely, with online play. It's like reverse hot potato mixed with Quidditch.

Love the cameos with Velocitron too, and really want to see more of that story too.

• Still getting used to Optimus' voice. I can see what people mean when they saw it sounds like it's trying too hard to be epic at all times. It feels like there should have been more emotional nuance to the scene between him and Megatron. I don't know if that's a choice on the voice actor's part or if it's the direction he's given.

• I kind of love how they use the old palette swap trick with the seekers yet still have two that use the same color scheme.

• It seems like they're setting Bumblebee and Shadow Striker up to have this personal enemy kind of dynamic. I wonder if they're going to do something special with it, like something deeper or if it's just going to be played straight.

• Okay, Shockwave's frowny face will never stop being funny. It turned what was clearly supposed to be a sinister moment comical for me because you have this dark ambiance, the sinister music and the freaky-deaky and then he suddenly turns and I just see >:

It looked like he was wielding a second head onto that seeker. That's unsettling but also a bit weird because I'm not sure how well that would work in practice. Putting the "mad" back in "mad scientists", maybe. Then again, when you have to conduct your science experiments in a garage, I guess it's not going to be your best work. Maybe that's why he looks so angry all the time.

• I rather like Megatron's voice, although I'm kind of missing the accent. It strangely worked with the character, I thought. I wonder if it's the case of the actor accidentally using his native accent or something.

 

I'm really liking what I'm seeing here. That cube game is far more interesting than that one game in Prime.

 

So..any chance we get to see those clips OUTSIDE the US? Thanks ^^

 

Optimus' voice just bugs me. It's like someone trying to imitate Peter Cullen but they forget to emote so everything just comes out wooden. Also, is Bee meant to have ADHD? Quick, someone get him some Cyber-Ritalin!

Nice seeing Hot Rod. Hilarious that he's mixed up with Hotshot. I hope he becomes more important as the series progresses. I also like that Blurr is retaining that Guido Guidi IDW design with the Mercurial head wings.

All in all though, this series isn't doing it for me. Which is fine. It's a kids show. Sure there are plenty of kids shows that adults can enjoy, but I don't think, at least for me, that this will be one of them.

 

Just watched Episode 8 and First Death of a Named Character.

Why the hell does Shockwave have angry eyebrows? It ruins whatever menace the character could have had.
