I've been wondering if there's been any news on when we'll be getting a CW release of Takara's Unite Warriors shuttle Blast-Off? I've always assumed we'd get the figure since we've got Slingshot, Wildrider, and Groove. My Bruticus has been setting without an arm for awhile now, and I'm growing a tad impatient. I'd like to finally be able to complete him! I have no interest in Jet-Off, and I'd hate not being able to finish my favorite combiner! I'm sure I'm not the only one that's still waiting for this to happen.

I don't think so. Seeing the CW has ended I'm sure Hasbro doesn't want to go back.

There's a thread devoted to this figure, I think have you searched for it?

I'm guessing we'll get some of the Takara exclusive molds in the Platinum series, probably as exclusives or as something to distract depressed CHUG collectors when the movie toy line takes over the shelves. I mean, Wildrider and Groove sold out pretty quickly, it's probably in Hasbro's financial interest to release Blast Off. Takara already saved Hasbro the cost of engineering the new molds, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't release some of them.

I think there is still a chance he shows up by Spring of next year, but it's a small chance.

I double dipped between CW and UW. Honestly, Takara's Blast Off is super weak IMHO. The color of Hasbro's at least gives me that nostalgia of the original toy.

I'm just glad I waited for Takara instead of just buying everything when it came out. At this point I doubt Hasbro really cares much about combiners, so I've written it off. If Hasbro surprises all of us with a CW space shuttle, great! But I'm glad I went with Takara. That's probably my advice. If you don't mind double dipping, get the Unite Warriors Bruticus.

There's a possibility they'll do him and Strafe sometime in the future the way they did the others.

Yeah, they sure know how to milk us collectors! Here's hoping that for Blast Off, at the very least, we get a stand-alone release like with Groove and Break down. I also think it would be cool if they mix-and matched some of the molds to make new combiners.

At this point, I just hope they completely redo CW G2 Bruticus. Between the issue about Onslaught's knees being mis-assembled, the figures G1 Decepticon logos instead of the G2 'con logos they should've had, and using the jet, those three issues are enough to justify redoing the set IMO. I'd probably buy the set if they fixed the first two issues, but tossing in the shuttle would definitely sell it.
