Okay, I have a condundrum. Not about the storyline - I want everyone to enjoy it as it unfolds. Not gonna spoil anything. It's about my process. I started doing Crossroads on my Surface Pro, using Paint 3D. It's basic, but it has all the functions I need, so it gets the job done. But I don't really use the Surface anymore - I use my Macbook Air for nearly everything these days. Except Crossroads - I still drag out the Surface for that, mostly because I like Paint 3D and I love using the Segoe UI font for dialogue (which as it happens is one of the Windows system fonts.) So .. can anyone recommend a decent free/inexpensive image editor for Mac, one with similar ease of use to Paint 3D? And does anyone know if you can use Windows fonts on a Mac? In the meantime, I really should reshoot a couple images to incorporate my new Frenzy.
I don't know if there's an option of Segoe UI, but I do know a free image editor for mac that should work - Gnu Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) I also happen to have worked on a Mac at the beginning of my comic, and I had this other app that worked like MS Paint with some different bells and whistles, but I don't know what the name of that program was.
Cool. I'm familiar with GIMP - used it for work years ago. I imagine it's a lot more polished after 15 years ... I'll check it out. And I'll research if there's a way to import TrueType fonts into Mac ...
