How many of you are members of the transformers collectors club? I can’t seem to pursued a friend to subscribe…maybe your feedback on good points might help aid me in helping him decide. I will just email him this link so he can see what benefits, exclusives, etc… I love how he won’t take my word for it! Thanks in advance.
If your friend doesn't want to join, why try to persuade him? I'd like to join, but since I can't afford to go to Botcon, I can't see spending $60 for twintwist and the ability to buy other club exclusives or get a discount on others. And all the members only info always gets leaked pretty quickly. I'll join someday, when I can afford to spend additional cash to enjoy those perks.
I am and have been for 2 years now. Love them and there site alot. The Exclusive bots are a nice bonus. Just 1 more year and my TFCC Gestalt will be complete.
i too am a member, and its well worth it...though the news does get released elsewhere, its still nice to hear it first...and the toys are really really cool...and the free club combiner is almost done!!! cant wait to finish that...
I've been getting them for the Botcon discounts. The free figs are neat, and the comics are fun too. ~X
Yea the free figure every year definatly helps to offset the $40 membership fee. Also, got me a pritty good deal on the exclusive Astrotrain when they went on sale last month: Members Only sale got him for about $60 I think it was.
I'm a member. It's worth it if you're a) liable to purchase most of the club exclusives or Botcon sets and b) if you live in the U.S. It's much more expensive for non-U.S. folks, unfortunately. Though I would imagine that if you are a non-U.S. resident who intends to buy all the exclusive figures in a year, you'd still come out ahead, cost-wise, by joining the club. The yearly free figure is a nice little extra, and the magazine can have some fun stuff in it... but those two things alone probably aren't enough to justify joining (IMO). It's really only worth joining to get reduced rates on all the other exclusives.
I just renewed for my fourth year. I agree with WhiteMocha, if you're not going to go to Botcon, or don't want to buy any of the exclusives the club produces, then it's not that great of a deal. Other than the free figure and the 6 newsletters.
you also get a discount on botcon toys without even going to botcon, which is totally wicked....and the club toys ROCK...airazor is a brilliant companion the the 06 set, and astrotrain is just awesome...
