Agreed. It's hard to do a "generic X-Men" with the provisions that it has to be blue (to match the 90s Blackbird) and it has to have a visor (to show it has the powers of ALL the 90s X-Men) without looking a little like Cyke but given those design goals, IMHO, this looks about as little like Cyclops as you could manage. They even made the visor lift UP which Cyclops wouldn't walk around doing.

Yep, there's a lot they could have done differently if they had actually wanted it to adapt the Jim Lee/90s toon Cyclops.

And that would adapt perfectly to the Hoist/Trailbreaker mold.

As a curious experiment, considering all the design choices, which X-Man does X-spanse MOST look like?

a Collaborative Lightcycle would be such an easy choice, and there's potential for tons of repaints and/or remolds.
now... the question is... which design would they use for the primary one?

i mean, those are a lot more "normal motorcycle" than the lightcycle.
and they're too tall (or not long enough depending on your perspective) to be retooled into a lightcycle

Polygon would be a cool name for a light cycle transformer.

There's something sadly ironic that the people that moan and screech about Hasbro just doing G1 characters all the time are rejecting a toy of a new, non-G1 character.

They could make the Thanos car and Thanos copter combiners!

As for X-Panse? I really like this!

Gridrunner is a name idea I had, but i'm sure I could think of something better

EDIT: Framerate. Framerate is the name I originally went with. Don't know how i forgot about it. I really like it for some reason. Maybe because speed + computers?

I haven’t watched the films, but I’ve always liked the name Checksum for a tech-y character.
