You've done a great thing for the fandom

 

Well, not just me, my team. Without them, this wouldn't have been completed at all.

Everyone from my wife, to my oldest son, to friends and former students of mine who I tutored helped script / translate this entire show.

Even pro's from the TF community, Buster/Hydra helped out as well as BraveMax from MetaSubs.

Also gyumaoh who was basically my TF Encyclopedia guy who scoured the internet for all these obscure terms like OOPArts (not O-Parts as everyone incorrectly writes it)... the research alone that went into this series was nuts. I hope if we end up doing any other TF series, that it won't involve as much time into historical / cultural jokes etc.

 

Just a side note: We wanted to include the English Cover song of Marionette with this release, however my friend got tied up with a few things from work, so we'll probably just do the release whenever she gets it to us. She's a pro singer, so it should be something to look forward to.

 

From the deep of my heart THANK YOU. This was the series that got me into collecting once again and it has a great meaning for me. The content is superb! Greetings from Peru and thanks for all your work!

 

This has me very happy, I really enjoyed the art style of cast robots, and since I'm an anime nut, it will be nice to watch it with the original dialog.

I hope so, I liked the style of RiD but really couldn't get into the show at all. Downloading and seeding indefinitely.

Yeah RiD was just plagued with a bad translation / adaptation / music / unnecessary localization changes.

Having the rights to publish one thing from another company's library doesn't give you access to everything else in it. Heck, I just learned that a company who gets the rights to show a subtitled version of an anime might not even have the rights to subtitle the SONGS, since that requires even more licensing fees. The micromanagement and meticulousness that comes with subtitling and releasing anime is staggering and frankly mind-boggling.

That said, I may have to give this a shot this weekend. Car Robots/RiD is the only element of the US Transformers cartoon saga I haven't seen yet, and I'd like to fill in that gap sometime. After that, I'll just need to catch up on Victory and the Beast Wars animes and I'll be set (not sure if I care to watch Go!, however).

 

I have the old tv-nihon fansub of this series. I haven't actually watched it yet, but with all due respect, is there much difference between that one and your new version?

 

My hope out of all of this, is that perhaps there'll be a company that purchases the rights to release Car Robots legitimately outside of Japan since the subs are now completed.

Anyway for now, we hope everyone enjoys finally being able to understand this series.

 

TV-Nihon only did 6 eps I believe. This is all 39 eps.
