I can say without any hyperbole whatsoever that the ‘80’s was the greatest time in history to be alive.

In hindsight, blitzwing is probably a better choice for a main villain over starscream. Starscream is great at being deceitful but has never really been great with the “hands-on” side of things. It would probably ruin the character for me if I saw starscream as a brute enforcer instead of a scheming slime.

The 80's ended in 1990, but people love to suckle on that sweet sweet nostalgia udder.

    Eeh.... there's been better times.

    Yeah missed that as well!

Looking at these new models, i'm hoping this is the start of a hint at a new 1986 live action remake which brings the action back to earth and starts a new continuity.

    But we shall see.

Everybody cites that damn toy and still doesn't realize the obvious: whoever the hell this guy is in the trailers? HE IS NOT A TRIPLE CHANGER. We've seen the entire body now and there is NO TANK KIBBLE.

    He might have survived.

Also in the first trailer you see bee fighting a flaming helicopter so he could just be badly damaged.

But if not then wtf is the "cute' scene of Bumblebee. If he kills like that. That's really disturbing.

God dang it, stop getting my hopes up wishing this was a reboot instead of yet another addition to the absolute trainwreck of continuity that is the movieverse.

I like everything about what I'm seeing, but then I'm reminded that they're still spinning this as part of the pre-existing movie universe. On the bright side I didn't just feel tired watching the trailer, like I did with TLK, so that's something.

IT IS NOT JOHN BAILEY, IT'S TOTALLY CULLEN for crying out loud....

Also, for anyone worried about continuity and canon, remember: The Bay movies are some of the most muddled and fly-by-night continuity of anything EVER.
I don't think "canon" legitimately exists in these movies.
I'm feeling a real strong Soft Reboot, here.

Well not yet anyway if they're going full out on the G1 homages visual or otherwise and especially if Blitzing plays a major role in the movie.

Travis Knight said in the latest interview that he added triple changers because he thought they were cool. I'd bet he gets his tank mode.

I'm not feeling the new designs (for pre-Earth; still don't love the mish-mash Bumblebee is) and definitely not looking forward to Starwing, BUT I will give this movie the ol' college try. Been very skeptical about it so far but there are elements I do like. Shatter, Dropkick and (hopefully) Barricade will put in great performances to make up for all the wasted Decepticons throughout the movies. Bumblebee and Charlie are cute together.

EDIT: I'm glad others like the designs, but it's not something that will make this a "good movie" by itself, by any stretch of the imagination.
