I've been a Bayverse fan, but I haven't liked the direction it took since after DOTM.

What would make me happy is if this started a whole new continuity.

Quick question? Is that supposed to be Starscream next to Shockwave with the other Seekers and if so how is that design any different than what's being called Blitzwing attacking Bumblebee on Earth?

 

I think on Cybertron... its Starscream. On earth its Blitzing...

Im confused why they went all G1 look except for Blitzwing? I honestly was hoping it would be SS on earth fighting BB.

Let me make sure I understand this correctly:

The robot standing next to Shockwave HAS TO BE Blitzwing, because of how closely it resembles Blitzwing on Earth.

But also, it's dumb to question why all these characters have new Cybertronian modes, because the movies have never been consistent with visual appearances in the first place.

 

Some cool new scenes with Blitzwing and the Autobots on Cybertron.

maybe it's not actually Blitzwing... its just Starscream and Blitzwing is just a cover name until the movie comes out??

Also... I'm guessing thats Acid Storm and Skywarp... or Slipstream in the back??? I want to say Slipstream

 

I feel like Knight wanted him to be Starscream originally but then some studio exec was probably told him no and that it would break the continuity or whatever. They probably just decided to just use the same design because it looked cool.

Well, that was certainly before they decided on a soft reboot and let Knight go apeshit and G1ify everything  

 

Well ppl wanted more g1 inspired look in the bots so they can tell whos who and hasbro said ok here u go now eat it. Now ppl wanna dislike it cuz its too much...

 

I don't get what people are going on about, this is still distinctly movieverse with just a few flat panels added on. IMO it ends up looking WORSE that the previous Movie designs because those were at least their own thing and not trying to pander to 30-somethings who can't accept that the 80's are over.  

 

dude, i've been saying for 2 years now that sector 7 could've been renamed gi joe, played the same role, and just spun off into its own franchise. it would've worked perfectly.

 

for the first reply, I understand what happened in the movie as in I could follow the sequence of events, but having a describable plot doesn't mean a movie makes sense. The Room has an easy to understand, simple narrative and yet the beat to beat moments make.no damn sense.

to your second comment, that was my entire point. the robots we got in that first film were little more than window dressing and plot devices. That movie was about Sam and i did not and never will give a crap about Sam Witwicky as a character.

to an almost unhealthy degree. ha. for the record, I've purposely avoided sniping at Bayverse fans over the years. I see the place the movies hold for the franchise and have been more than happy to let them exist on their own. Just like I do for RID and other Transformer universes that I don't want to engage with. Today is just a special day. lol.

 

Why do you assume movie fans want the movie to fail?

Really, 80s are over? So Stranger Things, WW84, new Joker movie and just about every tv and movies are pandering to the 80s means it's over?
