the poor visual effects of all Transformers movies... looks like a 80´s tv series of a girl and his pet.
Uh, what? Did you see it though a 240p pirated cam video on YouTube? The visuals were pretty damn convincing, especially with Bee when he's on Earth.
The only part where I felt the CG came close to seeming questionable was when Bee was fighting Dropkick around a running Charlie. Other than that, it seemed stylized to ensure that you could differentiate the Alien Transformer from the vehicles when in bot mode. This seemed to be done mainly by making Cybertronians more vibrant in color when in bot mode. The use of color alone made the 'Bee movie better visually as even when the fighting was at it's quickest, it was easy to differentiate between transformers when things got hectic.
Has anyone heard about an Art of Bumblebee or Making of Bumblebee book? Would love to see the design sketches for this film.
How can you tell see pirated movie is watching moving at theater your phone are your glasses audio quality and picture sucks see movie at theater wait for it come out on iTunes is better
The cgi they used for most of the bots didn\'t seem up to current standards. Like it was rushed. Especially the cybertron scenes. However, the cgi used for Bumblebee himself was absolutely steller. The most convincing cgi I have ever seen. It really looked like they filmed an actual giant robot. Given budget constraints, the fact that they put all the rendering money into the star of the movie and skimped on the rest of the bots is entirely forgivable.
I will admit as much as I loved Bees designs.. alot of the CG did look a tad off.. BUT I think its because of a few reasons.. 1) there characters where not bogged down with insane amounts of detail 2.. its pretty obvvious, especially in the fight and action. That it was more tradiionally animated than mocoped, which adds much needed weight and 3.. the characters didnt have alot of hotspots (reflection glares) like they did in the previous movies. That said.. the fighting in this movie was the best choreographed fighting than all the previous put together. there was some really sexy MMA strikes, and some really fun mid transformation manuvers that where straight out of the orginal G1 bumbers.
I thought Cybertron and all the Transformers looked great. They had an incredible amount of detail, we just didn't see them up close that much. Bumblebee looked just as impressive on Earth.
Only thing that looked a bit off was how the Autobots' faces looked and moved when they were talking, more organic than mechanical looking unlike Bumblebee, Optimus and the Decepticons.
