That's the biggest issue I had with the earlier movies.

Becasue it wouldn’t be faithful to the original nightbird. Plus it’s inspired not directly nightbird. It’s an homage.

I don't think anyone familiar with Travis Knight's work in animation could ever characterize him as someone who would think like that.

This is not someone who does things the easy way or thinks "creativity? fuck that".

Umm, no offense, but they'e just movies made for entertainment, not some deadly plague.

I'm noticing people are complaining about the inclusion of G1 designs, and others complain about how the Bayverse aesthetic is still present. Is it not obvious that people have different opinions? If you have problems with a film that hasn't come out yet, you may want to reevaluate your complaints. I thought everyone one here keeps wanting a well-told story, yet everyone's focused only on the designs.

Here's an outlandish idea, but what if we wait for the film to actual release, and then we can needlessly continue these pointless arguments?

Everything I'm hearing here is great! It sounds like they're going with the perfect blend of G1 and some new stuff!

 

A movie about bumlebee? doesn't sound so good.. And they probably still won't focus on Decepticons which has been a huge issue in the other movies..

 

Ahaha yeah that’s a good point. You don’t get a job in stop motion and STAY in that job if you’re about doing things the easy way.

Never mind that stop motion productions involve meticulous planning before anything is even shot because any wasted footage is days of work.

 

Bumblebee's a very popular character, and there's a lot to explore with him. I don't see why it's a bad idea.

 

He's not really popular, he's artificially popular. As in they just keep pushing him even if no one wants him to make it seem like that. There is really nothing to explore with him. He's like the least in that front. The movie is probably gonna be he same again, Decepticons hardly get any time and he will probably kill them(which i'd hate to see) with explosions. Showing he's not really the good guy. If they really wanted something fresh and to explore they should have made a Decepticon main character. or treat them at least better in a movie.

 

\"There are many more robots which the audience didn’t see [from the trailers].\" hmmm. Looks like Barricade still has a chance to be in this movie, even though the cop car in the trailer isn\'t him.

 

um you sure about that because i asked a person who went to the test screening and he said the decepitcons get a good amount of screen time the major cons who get it is shatter and dropkick

 

I disagree that he's artificially popular. I've seen a ton of people with Bumblebee themed cars. Most kids love him. I don't think we would have lasted this long if he were artificially popular.

Bumblebee killing Decepticons makes him not the good guy? The Autobots are warriors in an army, not superheroes. It's a different matter if he murders one of them in cold blood, but if he defeats them in battle, it's justified.

Well, I've seen plenty of people not liking him. And hardly anyone ever like him. And really most kids don't love him. They don't really have another choice.

And no it's not justified. If he'd try to imprison or something maybe. But he is no better then just a killer if he does. And in that case, Decepticons are better. Hell Blitzwing even threw him of a cliff instead of killing him, I hardly think Bumblebee would have done the same. So yes he's quite evil. And that they make him act "cute" moments later is pretty disturbing. He's like some American cops who shoot first ask later.

 

I talked with someone too. It's just setting them up to probably get killed. So there is no point in it really. I'd like them to make it that Decepticons get equal to Autobots. But doubt we see that anytime soon. Or a movie about them instead of Autobot movie number 6. Or Bumblebee movie 6 really.
