Those colors make me think if it *does* happen the plan will be to market it as an update of *this guy* to go with Sky Lynx and the GO Micromaster Bases.

Got pre-orders in for Brawn, Ratchet, and Wheeljack. I want to like Soundwave despite the vehicle mode but after someone pointed it out, that face sculpt on him makes him look litterally like a very sad Soundwave and I can't unsee it.

 

Oh no that's only gonna make him *sadder!*

 

Had to get that Brawn….he just looks so cool.

Got WJ and Ratchet too.

 

I'm not keen on that face either, but if it bugs me enough I'll change it with a 3D-printed resin replacement. Either a 3rd-party will make a new head or one of the pro-hobbyists here will do it. Or I'll have my own printer by then.

That Brawn is cool, but I was going to hold off preordering because I didn't have any attachment to him... but then I noticed Ratchet and Wheeljack are getting repacked in the leaked listings for wave 16, but Brawn isn't listed there or in wave 17. He might get repacked in wave 18 or later, but I didn't want to risk missing him. 2022 is going to be expensive.

 

Hm.. well, I never got the chance to really collect as a kid, so I'd use a lot of my imagination and sometimes used legos to fill in for characters.

It would always be bargain bins and generally day-dream / window-shopping and putting it back because we couldn't afford it.

I remember waiting all year to find a figure and it wasn't always the best figure, so I'd make due with what I could find and play with it.
I remember headmasters being the coolest friggin thing on the earth, but I didn't know what they were called at the time.
When I came to my friends house in elementary around K-1st grade, I LOVED Starscream... you know what I got? A metal F15 bargain bin diecast, but I didn't know why it didn't transform.
It wasn't the same, but that F15 went everywhere with me. Pizza Hut? Shoot, my. F15 flew around to disarm the peps while I ate. Needed to shower, my F15 shot the germs away. Went to get a shot, my F15 was there keeping me safe. Then.. omg, seeing G2 Megs in green was the next coolest thing on earth. Obviously, I didn't know they had names, but he was this awesome tank and super cool.
I was floored seeing Devastator. Not only did he have many of the pieces, but they transformed twice. Holy moly. My friend was so cool, and that was the coolest thing on earth.

I would say that the 5 minutes that these characters were on screen hit a nerve, a twinge, and kind of brought me back to that special place and magic. And now that I'm this money earner, why not?
Also, I got a little Deception in the oven so I want to have someone to share and play with and start them on this cycle of poverty collecting with me. I need to build a team so they don't go through the same sort of day dreaming, and it would be a blast to show them the BB movie.

So I'm still not sure what that fat rectangle is supposed to be.

I’ve said before that these all look great so they are an obvious preorder. I’m really excited to get them all in hand these are characters I really didn’t see happening and I thought any chance would just be half assed retools of earth mode movie bots. But I really have no issues with what I’ve seen. Starscream was already great and even though cliff and cybertron bee are a little rough, these look like some of the most fun figures I’ve seen in awhile. Can’t wait to work on a dio for these guys and really bring the scene to life
