What toyline is Omega Sentinel in?
Dem Thunder-Thighs Tho
I did a few edits best I could to remove and replace certain....things.
Yeah, given the size of the molds in question, I could see it being a shared engineering thing (I.E. how everybody, myself included, were convinced that TR Chromedome was a CW Dead End retool...nope, he actually shared parts with TR Blurr weirdly enough but nothing from CW Dead End), but at the same time given PMOP's relative obscurity despite the TR figure, I could also see a Gen Selects retool to more directly target the collector market.
I just want to say I'm so, so impressed with how all of these BB Cybertron figures turned out, and this is from someone who wasn't generally big on these designs on screen. I thought they were OK given the circumstances surrounding their creation, but among all the shared parts and lack of actual alt modes I was wary about those being "final" designs.
I think Hasbro legitimately improved these designs when translating them to physical toys. Not only designing alt modes, but actually subtly improving some of the details and changing up some of the bits that were reused across models (like, they made a slight adjustment to Brawn's feet to differentiate them from Bee/CJ's feet, which in the movie they literally were). These guys look really dynamic. It's just a shame that, like all SS figures, they're so TINY.
The Fallen is confirmed for 2022, why are you complaining?
It's Optimus Prime. G1 Optimus Prime no less. It's the furthest thing from obscure lmao
His whole argument was: "Bayverse Bad" "Hasbro could cancel him any minute now". And somehow, he argued that Hasbro would cancel Studio Series, just to justify his own logic of "Hasbro not making anymore Bayverse figures"
Arcee looks BALLER. Love her. Now I just hope the 86 Arcee looks as good.
Don't get your hopes up. Everything we know thus far, is that she's a repaint of ER Arcee
Is Arcee\'s form a cybertronian speed bike? I\'m totally gettin her!
"Ben Y. – Comment – Animation Studio Series – Beast Wars aka Mainframe, Animated TV show, get show accurate versions as a sub-line like 86." Sorry I am confused by this, was this a question asked or a comment from someone there? Are we getting an Animated line?
According to Hasbro, that was cancelled because they didn't know what line to release it under. How a figure got to the physical prototype stage before they realized that they didn't have a line for it, I don't know, but its clearly a different situation.
Gen Selects I assume. We already know that our Legacy Titan is Metroplex.
I dunno, but I heard a few people say it was another rerelease of ERcee. Hope not, because Hasbro can do so much better.
And, good thing they dedicated more time to Soundwave because they nailed it!
I’m a little bummed Arcee has fake wheels. She looks great otherwise.
Apollux once mentioned he saw the back of the box for 86 Arcee. And he said it that the figure render was pretty much ER Arcee but with different paint apps
Hmm. Cybertronian Ratchet? I think kind of a tie with Siege WFC Ratchet. I want to see what Studio Series can do with an Earth Mode. C\'mon, SS86 Ironhide.
A variation of G1 Prime, yes, but aside from the TR figure, it's not one often seen.
Until I see a physical hardcopy of a prototype, simply to see how in the hell they're going to work on those weird-ass doubled upper arms that don't fully connect entirely on the shoulder, I remain unconvinced at a simple listing in a computer when Hasbro has canceled things in the past that have had far more progress in development shown off, up to and including product in final packaging mock-ups.
Show me some physical evidence like a hardcopy rough and I'll start believing it. Until then, I reserve the right to remain highly skeptical.
Yeah, given we have a line literally dedicated to being a catch-all for EVERYTHING, that being Generations, AND we've had Armada figures just randomly shoved in other lines (T.30 Starscream and CW Armada Megatron, for example) the idea that 'they didn't know what line to release it under' is a load of hogwash. Hell, make it an online exclusive and people would eat that shit up - they managed to get Star Saber funded at $200 a pop with full backing tiers and that's after they officially butchered him in the eyes of many with how his characterization was handled in the IDW comic.
It's a shame Soundwave's alt mode looks better in the concept art. Guess they couldn't make it work the way they thought it would. Still, I'd have liked them to avoid the faux chest/window thing.
