He's clever, he's big, imposing, impressive. His individual beast modes are also really cool. However, his combined beast mode is pretty lame. Landsaur is the most fun. He's solid and he has a neat sculpt. His only flaw is robot mode kibble that's partially inspired by BWTM Megatron. Skysaur is OK. Not really fun, but he has a nice wingspan. Seasaur is the most boring, though he does look the best. He can only do a swimming motion and move his long neck. This one is a parts former where the bottom half gets taken off for transformation to robot mode. The weakest of the three by far. The combined beast mode is an ugly mess and not worth putting together. The gestalt robot mode is really cool looking and very solid. My only issues are somewhat limited poseability and his curling iron fists. The curling iron fists are due to the crappy combined beast mode, they're oriented so they would be facing forward as rear legs. Overall, a very nice figure designed a little bit before its time, resulting in some unfortunate compromises.
I really like this guy, and I think he's superior to Big Convoy. Nice review, but I will disagree with you about the beast modes. For me, the most fun is Seasaur and his poseable neck, not to mention that he looks the best to me as well. Second is Skysaur, who is also tremendously fun with nice legs and a great wingspan. I'm not really a fan of Landsaur, the kibble would be fine if it stayed attached to his legs better and he's not a visually-striking dinosaur.

Y'know, I'd actually grown to like the combined beast mode quite a bit. Just fold Landsaurus' arms back to kinda hide them away, and colours-aside, it looks like some sorta land dragon.
I've always thought that the pterodactyl's wings are just too huge. He would look way better in robot mode if the "ears" were smaller and more stylized. That really ruins this figure for me.
It looks like the 'ribs' in bot mode are intended to be Skysaur's feet, which is ruined since the actual feet just hang over the shoulders ...and are bright yellow and sport another toe. Combined beast mode is just wrong.
I think just having the wings able to hinge back would be enough for me. That way, without the spring gimmick, they could have been made a bit more angular, be bent out of the way, and give Skysaur a bit more poseability.
what I hate is the arm (what is the name? the kind that looks like DotM Shockwave or older movie BB's)
yes that pose! I hate that kind of arm because I can't ever get good pose with that arms (except if the weapon is so big like Terragator, or a cannon like Shockwave) combined beast mode look like some porn to me
I picked this guy up a few years ago for what seemed very reasonable. I liked the idea of dinos combining into one wierd robot. I got what I was looking for.
