You know, maybe it could be like X Men Legends or something. Those screenshots are a big yeesh, but so were the visuals of those at the time. Idk, i have a sliver of hope.

Seriously, if it's close to recent XCom games' quality, it will be the best transformer game ever.

This really doesn't give much to be excited about, but don't want to judge so early on. And to be fair, with the High Moon games, they do have a lot to live up to. May as well give it a chance!

 

Of course, being the same kind of game has no bearing on the game's quality. Bad XCOM-likes exist, like the game adaptation of Narcos.

 

Sigh....looks super lame. I miss the wfc days, I hope Highmoon studios revisit the franchise in the future.

 

Hasbro didn't drop High Moon. High Moon was laid off under Activision because of the Deadpool flop. Rise of the Dark Spark was approved by Hasbro to be the FoC sequel / prequel but since most of the HMS devs who worked on FoC were laid off, they had to use that Edge of Reality company. Basically, if that Cringe-worthy Deadpool game never happened, we would've well had a third entry in the Cybertron trilogy.

For everyone lamenting that this doesn't look that great-- don't forget that Certain Affinity is still making another Transformers game. Though admittedly we know far less about that game than we do this one.

 

I was hoping for another WFC/FOC or a sequel from Platinum

 

So....we can\'t get a sequel to Devastation....but we can get a TF game that looks like Animal Crossing.....Hard Pass

 

See this I want and wished they would have done a trilogy to finish the Ark.

 

I would love an action-adventure or outright JRPG set in G1 season 4 to continue the story where it could have led. It could be based around the Powermasters, like playing different characters like Optimus, Getaway, etc. which could upgrade over time until they reach their Powermaster form as we know it (or maybe even further enhancements) and could see the fight between Galvatron and his troops as well as Scorponok and the headmasters and between the Autobots with their headmasters and powermasters. Either you play only one bot or you can create a party of 4 bots. That'd be cool. Traveling around Cybertron and other planets, do side-quests and all the stuff.

They could even go as far as having Optimus upgrade from PMOP to Star Optimus Prime and Galvatron turning to Super Megatron and Ultra Megatron and whatever else there is.

That really only matters if you like that genre. Which.. I clearly said I don't, so to me it won't be "the best" ever.
