    This is a good question. Why are vinyl figures so expensive? I know that these are limited but other vinyl figures are pricey too. Is the material that much more costly than conventional plastic?

    The description states it has over 75 paint applications. These are a line of premium Japanese inspired vinyl. Sofubi i.e. Soft Vinyl. Since these are manufactured in China I don't know how authentic these are to Japanese way of making and painting them.
