I don't quite know what to make of this Whirl. Being that I don't read MTMTE, I like his G1-design of long limbs, 2 shades of blue & arsenal of black weapons - but that bot-mode just looks a little off. I really hope we get some better pics... & a fitting Roadbuster too!

Whirl looks good...not great but not bad either. I like the MTMTE design but this is a hell of a lot chunkier which works for me. I'd love a Roadbuster to go with it.

Rhinox, Waspinator and Skids look just as awesome as they did at Botcon. Doubledealer is alright. The mold is pretty bad but the huge Voyager size makes more sense for Doubledealer than it does for Blitzwing.

I did want a IDW one myself, but I've never hated the G1 design and this is growing on me. The shoulder joints are really worrying though.

Doubledealer's really disappointing. He looks nice, but after Sandstorm he's underwhelmingly similar to Blitzwing. I wish they had done something like that with the turret.

Guys I think Whirl's legs may be able to spin around to become more MTMTE-ish.

I hope they keep on telling people to try using it on exclusives so they waste time trying to get it to work while I buy a Metroplex.

Coupon codes DO NOT work on exclusives anymore. They haven't for over a year.

I wonder what the gimmick is with the ContrucaBots three packs.

I'm guessing that the smaller characters to attach to the normal-sized ones.

Construct-Bots Airazor seems to be some kind of accessory rather than a robot - and I wonder what Fang-Wolf is all about as He's a wolf not a Dragon is he even a Predacon or is he a Decepticon or a reference to Galaxy Force/Cybertron Snarl or the Headmaster Original Wolffang. ?

That Bulkhead looks mean - I wonder if the bumper will fit on any existing Bulkhead toy too?

Anyway enough of this for now as it's 3.45am it's past time for bed now.

it's the proportions. The hips are a smidge too wide and those thighs are too meaty. By contrast other aspects appear spindly and scrawny. This makes it clunky and awkward when it should've been sleek, slim, sophisticated.

With bigger shoulders and a slimmer torso the original had a better look.

So amazing. The only thing that would make me happier would be to see what Skywarp looks like.

Wow, Whirl looks awful. When a 30 year old toy does it better, give up.

Whirl looks like a modern update of the G1 design, which I guess is neat, but in all fairness Whirl was definitely one of the more guilty toys when it came to G1 toys looking like blocks slapped together. I'm sure in hand pics will make him look more appealing though!

Rhinox looks like he's actually partially made out of actual rocks.

    I love it. :D

I think I'm going to be just fine with this Whirl. I don't read enough of the IDW books to care for his design there, but the recent Generations line has been all FoC/IDW stuff with a couple Beast Wars figures and real lite on the Classics-style updates that made earlier Classics lines so popular, so we are due for some IMO.

okay, first off it looks as if Whirls legs have 360 degree joints at the hips. so achieving the chicken leg look should be simple. and as far as his weapons go, it looks like 4 weapons that can all interconnect. there are also peg holes on his forearms. so you could have him hold two and put the other two in his forearms. I for one am freaking excited by the blend of visual aesthetics.
