Rhinox looks good because he's accurate to the show, not the original (toy), and most were expecting Whirl to be his MtMtE design. Anyways, I think all three Voyagers look great.
Whirl, por que? It's not a matter of being faithful to the original, I just don't like the original whereas Rhinox is awesome.
Arcee will show up someday. I can see a painted reveal straight outta the blue for her. A Whirl proto picture was shown at Botcon and was said to look very G1. I like this enough as my classics Whirl, I will not cry with the IDWers.

It does look like Whirl just the original one the Original "Wrecker" Whirl not a contemporary Animated inspired skinny satyr version. Ironically as Whirl is such an obscure character it would not make much difference if he was old Whirl or the one that looks like Animated Shockwave. As in many case casual fan people wouldn't know who he is anyway as after all. "It's not G1 if it's not in the US cartoon" is the way some people like to think.

Judging by the pictures there, it still seems as if Hasbro's staff just can't transform a toy for crap. They even have Metroplex's hips backwards.
agh! they could've at least remolded the nosecone/cockpit section and given doubledealer his condor head and somehow added small feet to stand on. the extensive sandstorm remold had me jumping for joy, and this is just extremely disappointing. still loving that skids and can't wait for hoist and trailbreaker although they all look to be a little small.
I want that Covenant of Primus. The awesome thing is my birthday is right around the time of its release date. (December 6)
that whirl looks like crap. this is 2013 not 1986 or even 1990. they could've put more bulk on him and still retained the g1 look. the hands are probably the thing that hurts the most
I don't care what Whirl looks like, it's just great that they even bothered imo. Doubledealer's colors still make me squee.
Should we be expecting pics of scoop and the minicon combiner tonight? Or is that something we'll have to wait for?
