Paramount's small state, beginning with Transformers: Age of Extinction (June 27), is focused on rebooting the studio's franchises and hopefully creating one. Bay's fourth Transformers installment, which cost more than $200 million to make, could breathe new life into the series, based on the positive reaction from footage shown at cinemacon by theater owners (none seemed upset by Shia LaBeouf's departure).

Out It is not hard not to be uspet about Shia's departure. I guess his price soon enough will be record low.
And Whalberg, kelsey and tucci are more then enough to get people to the cinemas

Some people say the budget was lower than DoTM. Mark Walberg and this article say it was more. I wonder what the real answer is?

More interesting to me though, is the news the movie is getting postive reactions from theater owners.

Honestly what did you expect? no way they did all that with only 165 million, especially since its the longest of the four.

the reaction from theatre owners were from the footage at cinemacon, not the movie.

I told everyone not to go off of early news of the run time being 2 hours and 7 minuts and only $165 million budget. These things always go up.

It didn't make sense to me to cut the budget on a successful movie series. If DoTM made less over all than RoTF that would make sense.

The leading non-Transformer character could be a turd and I'd still see this movie. Nothing would stop me from seeing it. Nothing!

At least they can afford REAL actors. Not some child and a model who mostly known for photographs, and fine ones at that. ;P

It'll make up the costs and start profitting during the opening weekend.

Numbers of how much movies cost are often all over the place. Especially once you add in marketing and promotion, the cost balloons.
