I was wondering that as well, but I do not think they would or could get actors like these for "bit" parts

Do you think this voice cast might change? I mean I remember a while ago they said Bill Fagerbakke would voice a Wrecker and before that they said Jason Griffin would voice Sideswipe. But at the end it changed.

still very difficult to get excited about voice actors for transformers movies. they get a couple of actual dialouge lines, then 100 "uh", "wow" and "ahhhhhh" lines.

michael bay is like the jerry jones of transformers movies, all the great talent and supplies to make a fantastic movie and then in the end "fumble for tony romo!" go team! :bay

To be fair, Bill Fagerbakke and Jason Griffin do not = John Goodman and Ken Watanabe. I would cut out two of these actors without a thought, and the other two are John Goodman and Ken Watanabe.

I like professional VAs as much as the next animation lover, but the current reality in which we live, tells us that a big Hollywood movie that requires VAs, 80% of the time you're going to get celebrity voices as opposed to professional VAs.

He spoke English well in The Last Samurai, I don't think it will be an issue.

    Alright, seriously. We've got:

    -Marky Mark
    -Stanley Tucci
    -Kelsey Grammer
    -Ra's Al Ghul
    -John Goodman
    -Fucking Bender
    -Transforming freaking dinosaurs.

    ...

If Michael Bay manages to make this movie suck with that much awesome crammed into it, I vote we collectively exile him from Earth.

I think it's safe to assume that if Bee has any lines, Mark Ryan will do them... Don't cha think? Since he's like, ya know, still part of the voice cast?

And John Goodman as Hound? YES.

I have mixed feelings about this.

On one hand, it's clear these are celebrity voice actors added to make the cast sound better. It's not without precedent - Tony Todd was the Fallen and Leonard Nimoy was Sentinel Prime. Still, I could think of some better choices for the roles of Hound and Drift: Patrick Warburton, Fred Tatasciore, Phil LaMarr, Sab Shimono...

On the other hand, Goodman and Watanabe are not just big names; these are truly talented actors.
    - Watanabe was Ra's Al Ghul, Dr Serizawa, Katsumoto and General Kuribayashi.
    - And Goodman was Pacha, James P Sullivan, Walter Sobchak, Pops Racer and Fred Flintstone (this would be Goodman's fourth adaptation of a cartoon, I think).

So we're in good hands after all.

The rest of the cast sounds great. And what really interests me is Mark Ryan as Lockdown. I was okay with his Bumblebee, but absolutely loved his Jetfire. I wonder how badass and awesome he'll make Lockdown.

One question: what happened to Gregg Berger, wasn't he supposed to be Grimlock?

Excuse me. I must go put some pants on, for the sole purpose of crapping them.
